Got my GT Pro chest today.  Very beefy, but impressed with the mobility. Passed the fiber to nose test.

I've been using a G2 Sr classic for the last week since selling my V6 2200.  Even the senior unit is well made and more.protective than I thought it would be.  Can't wait to break this sucker in

Looks great. How's the shoulder padding feel up around your head/mask? Enough freedom to look around unobstructed?

After several skates in my G3s, I finally tried out the suggestions to disconnect the sling wrap from the calf pad. I was hesitant to try, just because it seems like a superfluous change (and it bothers me ever so slightly that there is some slight "functionality" in the pad that isn't being made use of), but surprisingly I found that it really did make a noticeable difference. I'd be interested to learn more about the mechanics actually at work here, but I wouldn't have thought that such a minor attachment was activating the calf muscles so much.

I've got 6 games over the next 5 days, so I'll be putting that endurance to the test this week.

I've now got at least 30 skates in the G3's and I couldn't be happier with them. The whole marketing tagline "Elevate Your Game" couldn't be more appropriate, as my style has shifted quite a bit as I've become more accustomed to the pads and I think it's been a marked improvement. Really only thing I'd like is for the toe strap to have more adjustment, like the boot/heal strap. Just need an extra inch of slack on it for me.

Seems ok... I’ll be pairing it with my new Sportmask, hat doesn’t have an overly long chin.  The floaters also have Velcro attachments that allow you to customize the width and height of the floaters.

Can’t tell from the pics...

Would you say the shoulder floaters are streamlined or tall?

Got to try this out cause I'm waiting for my OPT1K to come in.

Very impressed with it. Love the ability to seal the puck against the ribs, mobility was great for a first use, and the adjustments are awesome. Only flaw I found was how hard rebounds would shoot off it. Took a Slapshot square in the chest and it looked like the puck came off a 2S pro blocker.
