I had it for about a month before it was out retail, provided as a long-term review for MSH. My MAIN reason for getting it was that Warrior was suggesting they'd solved the vibration issue with composites. They definitely didn't. That skate was in Toronto and @Hills was a skater there, so I gave it to him figuring if I bring it to the event and hand it off, I don't have to worry about carrying a stick bag home. I somehow grabbed the wrong (backup) blocker instead of my usual one... I actually won a photography session at a raffle about a year ago and never used it. Mostly because the likelihood of getting the whole team to show up was so low. So my first mask was a no-brainer. Potvin graphics in that color scheme. @BMFSdesigns absolutely nailed it. He even went out of his way to find me a silver I liked. I didn't want chrome or sparkle, but a nice metallic silver. It looks fantastic. I have a mask he also painted for my league team, but I wear this one for pickups. I did however change the cage to blue to go with the uniform of another team I'm a backup for (I sub when their primary goalie is away). Do you want people to take out a newspaper article praising the guy if they do their own custom mask in this fashion? That's just silly. It's not like the painter is claiming this to be his pattern and everyone can clearly see what iconic mask he's imitating. Should every cover band pay royalties to the original artist when they play in some dive bar? What about when I'm at home painting some Bob Ross? Should I have to pay the man royalties for my own work that's inspired by his? Without Greg Harrison, someone else would have made another version of an iconic cat paint job.
