My CCM with Protechsport padding and NHL Ti cage is 1150 Grams or 2.5 lbs

VTX is 1200 grams or 2.65 lbs

Any chance you have some numbers for a retail CCM cage vs. the Ti?

I know you had another topic regarding getting a Ti made but came up empty handed.

@BadAngle41, I just took these photos today after 2 games. The Shocktec is hard to clean after a while. This was my first time I padded a mask so it's not pretty, I did this almost 2 years ago. I'm getting ready to redo it next week.

Here is the Shocktec, I have it in 3/8" and 1/8" thick, you glue it together to get the thickness desired.IMG_3362.JPG.3ecf0df09be0330bc7d6002d4268e97a.JPGIMG_3363.JPG.a845fafb414ec6875985984beff74449.JPGIMG_3364.JPG.588585239b2dfe0037c7ddbf67c753a5.JPGIMG_3361.JPG.022c38528bb575f352907b6a50a86edd.JPG

Here is the adhesive Tom at Shocktec said to use, it worked well for me.

This is exactly what I want to try one day, maybe with some Unequal in there too. Thanks for sharing the info! I also want to try other brands of air gel or similar unconventional, dense foams like Arti-lage.

I had the fun of meeting Garret Sparks the other week and we obviously chatted gear. I saw his Wall up close and was shocked at how heavy it was. I chirped that I hope his off season workout routine included neck curls.

Surprisingly, he didn't take my comment lightly. He got into a discussion about not trusting a light mask. He's basically old school and want's to wear a tank. He feels if it's too light, then something is missing.

No, not at all. Beyond nice guy and sent me home with 1 of his sticks.

Why did that actually happen on GGSU or something?

Oh yea it actually happen.

Hahahaha

i know lots of guys in the CHL, ECHL, etc sell their gear because they don’t make much and $800 for a set is a good pick up. Most guys in the minors  selling are also like 25 or under

I don’t know the specifics of his and if it was embarrassing or where he was at in his career, (ECHL just called up?) but the actual for sale does not surprise me

I know 2 CHL guys that take selling their gear for top dollar seriously

Is that when you were able to grab some picks of his Optik gear with embroidered (not heat transferred) logos? Noticed the Optik C/A on the floor.

I would not consider either of my Pro's Choice lids to be light by any stretch of the imagination.

I have two Hackvas. Both with full paint jobs and both mediums. One weighs in at 3.40lbs and one at 3.48lbs (Maltese in this one). My Masked Marvel Assassin comes in at 3.92lbs. Weigh difference between it and the Hackva is noticeable.
