@ZeroGravitas Yes, you can do it that way or on the front of the boot.

I usually take measurements near the outer roll. Take the measuring tape and put it by the crease area where the boot and shin meet. Start from there and measure to the end of the boot. That should give you the measurement. On my old G2 it was 7-1/2” length.

@ZeroGravitas is the boot length on you new GT 2 pads the same size as the old GT. I notice on the G4s the boot length came out to 8" on a 34" pad. Thanks

What is the length of the boot. 7" or 7-1/2". If its not 7", can you custom make it to that length? Also is it possible to taper the boot 1".

Did you ask McKenny to custom mod it with lace in both sides? Maybe they would do that mod for you. Their 870C/A reminds me of my old Vaughn 5500. How is the protection? Is it mobile?

John Brown has made a streamlined NHL spec for Samsonov. He posted a picture on Instagram. Could be a game changer for Brown to be back in the NHL.

Yes, it's the first time I have a cowling less skate. I was in a Bauer Supreme Total One NXG goalie skates. As far as the True skates, It took me about 2 games to get used to them. Awesome skates!!! I definitely recommend them.

Got the new VE8 pro C/A. Very lightweight and mobile. Coming from an old 5500 c/a the VE8 is the closest feel to my old c/a. Protection is very good. I also got True 2 piece skates with white toe caps and Bauer Vertex holders. Awesome skates!!

C/A: Vaughn 5500 Pants: CCM Premier Pro I tuck my C/A in and have my suspenders hold my C/A down. Wished Vaughn would still make the 5500. Its by far the best mobile C/A I have used. And the protection is pretty good.
