  1. I'd agree with that. Just yesterday I picked up a pair of Konekt HF2s and while I really liked the tendy buckles in the time I used them the Konekts are better, as they should be being purposefully designed this way.
  2. Just an update after a little over a year and a half of use. I've recently had the top buckle on each skate snap at the same spot, right around the screw hole. Otherwise, the performance of these has been really good.
  3. I have PSVR2, so I can't get sense arena on it, but I find playing Beat Saber on higher difficulties is helpful for me.
  4. I'm in the midst of 7 in 9, but I'm on vacation from work. I'm only on day 3 and skate 3 so far, but I had a 2 hour nap this afternoon already!
  5. I bought the top one with an offer of $150. Very happy with it for the price!
  6. I ordered this one based on a conversation with the seller and judging by the absolute rock solid padding, this thing is a pro return and it's going to hold up for a long time.
  7. I would assume this is just an older one, based on the neck not having ccm branding as well as having a fight strap.
  8. https://sidelineswap.com/gear/hockey/goalie/goalie-chest-arm-protectors/6691670-ccm-used-medium-ab-pro-goalie-chest-protector So, based on no branding on the neck piece of this one it's likely the beefier model?
  9. This is probably the first Warrior set I'm not itching to try. I really liked G3 through G5, but the G6 set I had for a bit just never clicked and I'm not sure about the G7 due to that.
  10. I've got a Sportmask as well and a couple of years back I switched to a chin sling. I highly recommend looking into this option as well, I'll never go back to a chin cup.
  11. Not to hijack your review thread @RichMan, but do you or anyone here know if this would likely be one of these beefed up type units? CCM AB Pro Goalie Chest Protector | SidelineSwap
  12. When I had a Miata, I just undid the 4 bolts holding the passenger seat in and tossed the bag there.
  13. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. If I look back at what I've sold in the last 2 or so years, I've used (in no particular order) Optiks, JRZ Fusions, Gnetik 4, Eflex 3, Optik 2, G4, G5, G6, currently in Axis 2 pads and Vaughn gloves. The only way I can do this is the used market. A few times I've been able to sell a set for more than the one I've replaced it with, and not that I am keeping a tally of how much up or down I am on it but I'm certain I've not spent more than it would be to custom order a single set.
  14. This is the biggest reason why I buy stuff used. There are plenty of people with more money than I have to drop on new gear and the resale value is so much less that great deals are readily available.
  15. Just recently purchased a pair of Optik 2 leg pads. I had a set of these in the summer of 2022 that were a 32+2 which were just a smidge too tall in the thigh, these being a 32+1 should do the trick. I also really prefer a dark setup which steered me in this direction. Still on the hunt for some black gloves to go with them.
  16. Ah, I see. With mine, I took a shot right off the thumb while messing around knocking pucks down with my paddle and wasn't sure if I had broken it or not until I went to the doctor a couple days later. He didn't think it was broken either, but I had it x-rayed anyway and lo and behold it was broken. There wasn't really anything they could do for it with how it broke they said, so now I just have one permanently fatter thumb that kind of clicks.
  17. Beautiful set. From personal experience, you can play with a broken thumb! It does suck to do so though.
  18. Gotta get some Montreal smoked meat.
  19. I guess. $650 USD for the set, the ol' intermediate sized discount. They're 32+2 though and taller than the "senior" Eflex 3 set beside. I measured my hands and I'm exactly at the bottom of the range for senior and the top of the range for intermediate, so I figured I'd give it a go.
  20. New to me Warrior G6 set. I had too much downtime at work and it just happened. Funny enough, I figured I could get away with an intermediate set. These are a 32+2 and are taller than the technically senior sized Eflex 3s beside them which are a 32+1. I'll give up the 0.5 inch in width for the huge cost savings.
  21. I thought I wouldn't be playing much this year, but I just worked a bunch of overtime at work and had a little too much downtime and bought a new to me Warrior G6 set...oops.
  22. Happy to help! Maybe next time I go to Florida, if you don't have them by then, I'll have to check out some games.
  23. I've seemingly reached a point where I no longer feel like dropping coin on replacing my perfectly good pads, however, I'm wishing for a stiffer knee wing on my Eflex 3s. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about this? I understand that I won't be getting results akin to a newer Bauer with the knee block being integrated into the core, but I'd like to not have so much floppiness. Thanks in advance!
