I assume it is as follows: Mach rom : exactly like Mach (what I ordered) Mach with wrist : what you got on Mach when you added the wrist strap. Shadow: similar wrist strap to HL2 with a rom strap (assuming from what is written in the catalog)

Is the tune fit + strap attachment point lower overall or is the velcro tab just larger?

Calf pillow looks much better than what I had on Mach. That calf plate however… I think we need to thank the calf brackets!

As promised, here is my order: I am going with the stock option for the back hand pillow. The pads & gloves are basically Mach, as I love my set and my current specs. I will make a Mach Vs Shadow thread once I get my set to go over potential build differences and all. Cheers!

I talked with the Rep I know since my days at a store. The new pillow is thinner and shorter (doesn’t go as high up on the wrist). Still not sure what option I’ll go with, but I will likely order on Friday the 22nd. On one hand I want to test the new sidewall, but I also like my thick pillow on the backhand. We’ll see what I end up doing. I post my specs once I order. I also intend to post a decent Mach VS Shadow thread, even though my specs are similar on both sets.

Does this also change the palm material, have you tried the new blocker yet? Is the pillow as comfy as the old one?

The skin is slider 2.0, I heard HL2 were better sliding than Mach, correct me if I’m wrong @ZeroGravitas

My girlfriend doesn’t like the line zone red for some reason. Leaning towards #2 right now, I think this is what will end up on my order! Hopefully Ice blue is a color on the new shadow stick, I’ll get one or two of those to match the set, likely with 2 different colorways to them to mix it up.

Really want that ice blue though!

Not sure about this, the logo will likely have the background’s colour with a chrome/iridescent outline. Maybe white paddle paint but they’ll lock white from the paddle graphic?

I was using eflex before switch to a supreme 2s pro back in 2018 (feels like decades ago at this point). I took a risk based on what I didn’t like on my past setups and It paid off in my case. I also sold hockey gear for half a decade and a lot people (players and goalies alike) definitely have a lot of inertia when it comes to trying new things. Sometimes you think you know what you like but maybe you actually don’t.

Yeah @coopaloop1234, I know I can. It’s just a bit jarring to see bauer do a 180 on something when they rarely do.

This line is no revolution it seems like. Supreme is the goal line that checks all my boxes for gear, likely upgrading my Mach to shadow. Still torn on the glove wrist strap however, I do not have one on my mach and it feels great, and I have trouble seeing why bauer would add it back when Supreme is in all honesty pretty much a custom only line at this point.

This was never the question, my main question is: Does a retail pad slide better than a custom one?

I promised feedback, here is it: Honestly the set feels awesome, strapping is perfect without the professor, I’ll still test it with the connect strap next week see the difference. Now the elephant in the room, sliding. It felt different, 100%. Not sure if it’s a good or bad different though. It "felt" slower, but I didn’t miss anything that I would’ve saved with my Ultrasonic. I feel like the slower pushes were more controlled, it help me having better post integration after sliding VS US. Whenever I needed a hard push I was still flying though the crease as before. Really hard to tell, but there is something going on with this new skin. Rebounds are much better than any pad I had before. The open leg channel feels like the tightest channel possible, thanks to tune fit +. Glove and Blocker are incredible, comfy and all around upgrades.

A single thread spreads the impact on a longer thread, so less tension overall when impacted. This might help actually. But it "looks" like multiple to me.

I’m guessing the wires would snap like a nylon/cotton thread, so split in two. This structure seems to be more resilient that a standart cage. I do not use a cat eye (I’m not cool I know) but traditional cages loose strength to more they bend. This product looks really promising, first time there is inovation in the goalie cage (except the SAW hardware Bauer put out with the Concept and NME one). The aesthetics are weird, but then again, look how we reacted to the 1s back in the day(or how a certain netminding guy reacted to the hyperlite in the mach thread). The guy from uncage might not be a goalie, but he could fine tune his design with some adjustments I guess. Time will tell.
