  1. I was advised that the sizing of the G6 was the same as the 4 and 5 (I was coming from the G4) so I didn't even use the chart I just ordered based on the previous measurement. I will say this-I think the stiffness/straightness of the thigh rise on the G7 makes the pad feel bigger. My knee lands dead centre in both pads, but my G4 has softened obviously and has a bit of a curve so they look a fair bit shorter. End of the day I decided after a handful of uses that they are too stiff for me and I will sell the G6 set and order the G7 as soft as possible.
  2. MY best advice ordering 2 custom sets previously, follow the chart!! Each time I did this warrior reps both agreed that the way I calculated was correct. Remember as well, when you do this, if they don't fit Warrior will make you another set........anyways, track the FTK and line your knee where it needs to be. For me, I am 21.5 FTK so that puts me in a 37+1.5 (stock thigh rise). However, if you look at their chart, they also show you what the recommended overall pad size is based on height. Since the 37+1.5 recommended body height is taller than I am, I went with the overall pad height recommendation for my height of 6' 1 1/2" which ends up as a 36+1.5 pad. So simple math, keep the knee at 37 and drop the pad height by 1", puts me in a 37+0.5 pad. Fits perfect. Always feel free to reach out to warrior on IG or anywhere else to show them your stats and what pad height you want prior to ordering and see what they say.
  3. Shit my bad lol, I meant middle of March!
  4. Thanks. I ordered middle of May, received them end of August.

  6. This^^. A polycarbonate plate will absolutely maintain optimal sliding on shitty ice, that's why they tested this for 2 years and kept it. My understanding is pros loved it. Expect to see it next season in the NHL too. It will be interesting to see which NHL goalies will be rocking Warrior.
  7. But remember, I followed the exact pad size for my FTK, but used the body height to dictate thigh rise. You have to use both for the exact reason you stated about 3-4 guys at the same height
  8. My best advice for sizing with Warrior is to follow their chart-not just the FTK but also body height. Stores mostly stock 35+1.5 so I couldn't try anything in person. With an FTK of 21.5 the chart put me in a 37+1.5 but the height matched on the chart is 6'3 and I'm 6'1.5" which put me in a 36+1.5. So for me it made sense to make sure I matched the FTK with a 37" pad but take off that inch from the thigh so I ended up in a 37+0.5". Pads fit perfectly. Went with the same size for my G6 order.
  9. Great thread as I am also trying to decide between the 1 and 2 pc. My local rep says to run with the 2 pc in case the 1 pc breaks and because 2 pc offers various blade holder/cowling options. Leaning that way however similar to Punished Goalie I am still keen on the zero loss of power and the lower height with the 1 pc. Decisions, decisions.....
