  1. Haven't played with the customizer but I would merge 2 and 3, the backs of 3 with the faces of 2. if that can't be done ...2 I vote 2
  2. I don't believe this is accurate. Although the break angle is the same (both 75 degree) the thumb angle is different. This will make the break feel different because your thumb is now in a different position. As @Kirk3190 stated above,
  3. In my experience, the higher attack angle in stance only reeks havoc if you take advantage of it and widen your stance. Otherwise the benefits while down out way the negative while standing. Keep in mind, I'm vertically challenged and don't have to widen my stance to drop quickly.
  4. unfortunately It won't be available until April. I'll post here once I actually get one.
  5. Love my 4 door wrangler, 200k miles, never an issue, only reason i'm getting rid of it is because of the jeep Gladiator.
  6. Technically most traditional masks are single impact, i.e. one shot, stick, whatever, and the mask needs to be inspected. With glued foams, this requires repadding to check the structural integrity of the interior of the unit. Although not likely to occur, any single impact to the shell could cause interior cracking behind the padding leading to catastrophic failure. Easier to inspect the mask with the "mechanically attached foam". Royal pain in the Ass, not practical by any means but never the less truth. That being said, very good idea to periodically have a mask builder/expert inspect your mask.... once a season or more if you are consistently taking shots of the mask. This holds true for all protective headwear made from plastics or epoxy resins and foams. I understand that nobody in the world abides by this and there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, but that doesn't make it any less true, it only takes 1 impact to damage the structural integrity of a helmet and you never know which impact it will be that causes it. sorry to be a bummer.
  7. 2007 wrangler unlimited, @motowngoalie, I'm in the same boat, Think I might go with the 2020 Jeep Gladiator coming out this spring/summer
  8. Anyone else having trouble viewing the "Gear" forum? claims to be thousands of posts but it's empty when I click on it.
  9. Makes total sense as the original blades seem to be pitched toward the heel compared to the Step. Should be a night and day difference, doesn't mean it's the right profile for you, but should be a huge difference. good luck, anxious to hear how it goes.
  10. @dstew29, Just curious did you buy the Grafs new, how long have you had them and how often you sharpen them, what type of machine is used for sharpening? I wouldn't be surprised if there is a lengthy adjustment period, that is a huge difference between the 2 blades.
  11. So as I said, I can't speak for the larger version but the 32" bag is pretty cool. Plenty of room for my player gear needs although I do wish it had more accessory pockets. It fits: skates, shinguards, 2 pr elbow pads, 2 pr gloves, 2 helmets, girdle, 7 jerseys, 3 shells, towel and shower essentials, change of clothes, and of course the bag necessities. Unfortunately my tape rolls and some other odds and ends are loose in the skate compartment but whatever. I unintentionally left the gear in the bag after sundays games(goalie gear did not get neglected) and it was 90% dry when I got home from work and removed it. So I we'll call it a good purchase. I won't comment on durability just yet as I've only had it for 2 weeks. Hope this helps @itis121
  12. Shoot an email to No Icing with your questions/ concerns. Bob really isn't just looking to make sales, he doesn't need to. He has already done "real world" extensive testing and experimenting, that's why he has a questionnaire. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see reviews on profiles and hollows. I don't believe they would be very helpful as everyone skates differently. Check out the on ice video thread. A 18',30' dual radius would work very differently for @Imperative vs @Hockey School Dropout vs @Punisher Goalie vs @Fullright. They all skate well but not the same. If @Chenner29 and @CG35 were to switch profiles, you would probably get very different feedback about each and neither would likely be helpful to you or me. And to add to the confusion about all this, most human skate sharpeners inadvertently change your profile with each sharpening. @Chenner29 may have started with a 27'/30 but might be currently skating on a 33'/40 or a 20'/27 (these are exaggerations but it happens). Bottom line try it out with a professionals recommendation, pay attention and take notes on feel, performance, likes/dislikes and adjust as needed.
  13. This is irrelevant as almost all steel is removable these days and it can all be profiled, in the skate or not. Most major retailers that sharpen also have the ability to profile at the time of first sharpening, they just don't want to cause it's time consuming and most consumers just don't know the difference. For the more avid players in my area, retailers will ask if we want them to do the first sharpening or if we are taking them to Bob at No Icing. To your other comments, the best option for most beer leaguers would be to fill out the questionnaire from No Icing and buy a second set of steel with Bob's recommended profile. If you don't like it, put the stock steel back on and return the profiled steel (with thoughts and comments) to No Icing for a different profile. Bob is awesome! He is a goalie (retired from net due to health within the past 5 years). He kinda geeks out on the advantages and disadvantages of sharpenings and profiles. He used to (and still might) test out all of the options for both player and goalie. He's also spent countless hours experimenting. In short, he knows his craft.
  14. Nah, It's beer league, we barely have a captain. honestly could leave the bags, sticks and pucks at home as long as I've got the cooler I'll be the most popular 1 there.
  15. I've got 3 games tonight back to back to back, 2 as a player and 1 in net. so that's 2 bags 4 sticks puck bag and cooler.Oh and my pregame coffee, I'm out of shoulders. The only things I'll ever wheel into the rink are the cooler and my broken ass in a wheelchair.??
  16. I just got the 32" bag for my player gear, will be loading it in the car tonight for it's first go. Seems well built, I'm impressed with the quality of the mesh, wish there were more accessory pockets but whatever, I'll know more after tonight. My CCM goaler bag blew out all 4 corners so I transferred the gear to a 40 inch vented Warrior bag. Not sure how long it will hold up as everything has to be loaded just so to get it to fit(yes my 33 G2 Pros are in the bag). The Warrior bag had been my player bag(although very oversized for that use) so I just shuffled stuff around. For me it seems anything smaller than 44"x22"x22" is a fight to load.
  17. @Harkonnen26 Talk to Brian or Andrew at Monkey sports in Derry. they both have a pretty good feel for what's available in the southern part of the state. Hit me up if you're interested in playing farther north ( Lakes region, white mountain areas). Welcome to the granite state, oh and the Forum of course.
  18. IIRC, the G1 Ritual has a table top boot that causes the pad to sit higher. I don't have experience with Bauer pads but If the G1 feel a bit tall in 34 it could be because of the table top boot.
  19. Not that I have any experience doing so but... I know one can by replacement parts for the BOA system. I would imagine that means that one could replace parts as needed on their own.
  20. I'm surprised the IOC let you use this for advertising. I know in the snowboard industry it's a pretty big no no. Some of the Medalists' sponsors weren't even allowed a "Congratulations" on social media. That being said, I don't really know what the rules are or how they're written.
  21. Just semantics here but, Bauer didn't change the volume as volume could be better described as the height from footbed to tongue/lace. What Bauer has done is made the heel pocket deeper. Sorry, not trying to be a dink
