A couple of interesting finds at a local shop here in Finland, Jaromir Lagr and The Pintraiser.
  2. OK, I'm sold. That all black look was the final piece that those will replace my well served True One-pieces.
  3. Now my interest was piqued. I was planning to switch to Konekts after retiring my True one pieces, but now I will wait until these are released.
  4. Two of my all time favorite setups, Felix Potvin in Toronto and Patrick Roy in Colorado.
  5. I also do full body workout which I have divided to 2 training days with different sets per exercise. Our team trains on ice on Wednesday and Friday so I go to the gym on Monday and Thursday. On Monday: bench press, deadlift, incline bench press On Thursday: overhead press, back squat, chin-up, dumbbell bicep curl, shoulder press I do all the other exercises with dumbbell, except the final exercises of the day (and of course chin-ups). Those I do until failure so it's safer to do them in a machine. I have found that this program works for me very well, because I can train full body in just 2 hours per week and I don't have to spend hours at the gym. At this age, it's nice to use time also on other things than training.
  6. If you want the best protection in the market, then Brown is your choice. Add the Russian Spec to a custom Brown chesty and no matter what level of shots you are facing, you won't feel a thing.
  7. I had a similar problem a few years ago when the skates were new. I contacted the retailer and they gave an advice to remove the blades, spray silicone spray in the blade holder and reinstall the blades. For me it worked perfectly and I haven't had any issues since.
  8. It seems that currently that model can be found only on the Finnish site: https://www.wallmask.fi/tuote/wall-w90s/ W90s was published last summer and it has been a huge hit especially in Finland. I guess they just have forgotten to add it also to the English site because I have heard that they have been extremely busy lately.
  9. Just placed an order for the new chesty and pants. My current Browns are still in quite good shape but I want to try something lighter and more mobile this time. Hopefully this also helps with the issues of getting older and slower. My specs for the chesty - Size L - Extra reinforcements to arms and shoulders - Suspender guides - Fight strap - Custom colors Pants - Size 3XL - Extra reinforcements to thighs - Primo lower edge - Custom colors
  10. Another game in the new team and another win.
  11. I had to change team for this season because my previous team couldn't get enough players. Here are some pics from the first game in new team last night.
  12. Just noticed that Brian's has changed Boa to UTURN system. Does anyone have any info about this change and differences between these two systems?
  13. They were direct shots that I felt. Worst ones were the ascending shots that hit the cup from below. I used to have a Brian's DX cup which never had any issues regardless of the angle or strength of the shot. Also with my current Warrior cup I haven't faced the same problems. It is possible that it is only me who has so sensible nuts, thanks to good old 90's Kohos which caused quite many moments when I just had to catch my breath few moments after hit. For clarification, I never felt so bad stinger with Brown cup that caused serious pain. They were more like a very unpleasant feeling in stomach when you get hit to the right spot. I think one reason for that was that I couldn't get the cup fit tight enough because of its size and that's why it moved a little during the puck hit.
