And what exactly do you mean by the knee is double sided? Do you mean there are two elastic straps sewn together? If so, that is also how my knee strap is. This bucket was so fun to paint, it is built on Jake´s nickname Jake The Snake…! Jake I and brainstormed during the summer how to create it, we wanted to do it with snakes, but in a new style, something never done… How about a snake skin creating the beautiful Blues logo... We built on that and came up with a plan. Something very raw and rough and aggressive..., something which live and breath Jake The Snake… I love to try to paint in different styles and my goal is always to try to be like a paint chameleon. Every new mask is a new and unique story. I don't usually mind when goalies have their own subtle spin on a color setup, but his just seems misdirected. I liked his look last year with the navy and "sand-gold" color. I wouldn't mind if he went down to just the sand-gold... I mean, it wouldn't scream 'Florida Panthers', but it's still a look based on the team colors. But the true-gold color just doesn't match anything in the uniform, and I don't think it's going to look good with the uniforms. Lu's pads have always been a topic of discussion, especially for his time here in Vancouver. It's been a long time since he's rocked some real colour in his gear. He wanted it to be a tribute to the 25 years anniversary of the Ducks. We brainstormed and came up with a plan. Big and in focus is the Ducks 25 logo, created in shiny gold colors. And all is surrounded by the Ducks colors and the classic Ducks logo on the top created in a cool sketchy style✍. Grubi and I have been working together for many years, and this is his eleventh chapter in his latest Grubi series of masks, and his first Avs mask. The design is inspired from The Rocky mountains, and very much inspired from the awesome team jerseys and team logo. All created in a mix of vintage effects, classic airbrush and sketches✍.
