keeperton
I definitely feel like you'd greatly benefit from putting this in a table/spreadsheet, if only for your own sanity. Like, at least a .csv so it can be added to/parsed anywhere.

Pezon36
To add to the list. I have a garret sparks stick that measures 23.5” Bauer. He’s listed as 6’3”. It’s a pretty custom grip too.

A.YOUNGoalie13
@keeperton@Chenner29 fuck both of you Everyone else, here is the new and improved google sheets version of the database that will be periodically updated that I totally thought of myself!!! Enjoy and let me know if you have info for an unlisted goalie. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yGOwc1bewdokLwVG1fG248UlgVtyfgRQdPG1UbecwJA/edit?usp=sharing
ChippedWall
This is somewhat unrelated but I think it's worth mentioning. I was actually fired from my hockey job for selling a 9 year old who was barely 5 feet tall a junior goalie stick. Mom said that the goalie coach instructed her to buy a 26" paddle stick. After me educating her, she took the appropriate size. Next day I came to work an email from the mom and coach demanded I be dismissed or the store would permanently lose them as a future consumer. I'm over it now but maybe a list like the above would have saved my job

DL42
This database does not provide enough or is of any use. U cant compare size if it is not standard across brand. The paddle does not determine the height of what a beer league goalie should get a retail market. You cannot justify the size bc a pro is the same size and use the same brand. The shape of the blade including the toe and heel, the lie , the paddle shoulder design determines the right size as well as how you play. What this means is like comparing t-shirts and saying someone wears xl so they are they some height so it should be the same for everyone. you need other length like sleeve length, neck opening, , length , widith both body and sleeves and so on. you think TRUE Quick is same as Saros,, just no,,, I have both pro pattern sticks..Saros holds 3-4 inch of the paddle. The nhl legall way to measures is find the starting point from the shaft paddle area where it is 3.5" wide, then go from the shaft part down to the heel of the goalie stic Dont worry about it, maybe in another 20 years before stores company understand this before just curves and toe shape. You know, it's not entirely relevant, nor is it entirely irrelevant. Particularly because a lot of pro stock sticks make it to hands of everyone else rather often. Also, sometimes things are just an exercise of interest. If you know how people grip their sticks, that could be added to the sheet as well. Scope creep is always a real danger, but sometimes must occur anyhow.

Haha thanks jackass. Don’t fucking read it if you thinks its a waste of time Plenty of people will find it useful, and since your eyes are so damn good, maybe you could reasonably assume that all the other people in this forum could look at a picture of Saros and go, “holy shit, half of the top C of the ccm logo is covered, he must be holding onto part of the paddle, therefore making his paddle ‘shorter’” This chart clearly gives a baseline, as I outline the sizes by brand and their true consistent measurement as per prostockhockey.com who has dealt with thousands of sticks from these brands over the years. If anyone would know true measuring and sizing, it would be them. Would I say buy a Warrior 26 because you’re 6’1 and so are Georgiev and Shesterkin? No, you don’t play like they do. But it provides a baseline or an idea of common preference. I work at a store and see kids getting terribly sized sticks all the time, and then I go coach and exploit the issues. Maybe if a chart like this gains more attention kids and parents can come to understand that their 4’8 squirt doesn’t need a 25.
