Stick Repair Question

Hey all,

I have four Warrior Abyss sticks that I love and seem to work well for me.  The issue I am having is that the fiberglass? laminate that is on the outside of the stick always seems to come loose.  I have taken at least two stick out of rotation because of this.

Is it possible to glue/epoxy it back on?

What would be the best suggestion to achieve this?

I am currently thinking of trying what I have on hand, superglue and epoxy but not sure if either is strong enough to stand up to the job.  I have also thought of contact cement and liquid nails but not sure if either would stand up to continued abuse.

I can get pictures of the issue but they may not be the best.

Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

Is it possible? Sure.

Will you save money doing it when you factor in getting the correct materials and your time?  Almost certainly not.

Is it worth the headache and the hassle?  Up to you.

If I were doing it I'd remove the old fiberglass, sand, lay fresh fiberglass down and put a coat of resin on it.    And then temper my expectations because there's no way I could do that as well as Warrior, where they probably have a huge dip tank of resin and just dunk the sticks ensuring a nice even coat as opposed to painting it on by hand.  If you're super attached to these, give it a whirl.  I gave up on foam core many many years ago due to hassles like this and didn't take long to learn to love the light weight and responsiveness of composite sticks.
