They are polar opposites. PX4 is a minimalist pad. It rotates around your leg and often almost feels like nothing is on. Shadow locks your leg in and there's lost of extra lading gear and a wrapped feeling. One is not better per say, but very different offerings. One is not better per say, but very different offerings. Yup that's been my initial impression as well since they arrived and just wearing them at home. In a week I'll have a chance to get them on the ice. Part of me really wishes True would just put out a product with a modern knee block - which is what I miss from my eflex 6 set and wish was on my px3's, and is the thing that drew me to the Shadows.
