dnovak Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Finished up this University of Manitoba Bisons mask for a tendy. He liked the 'Bow Hunter' mask so that gave us an idea to work with. A realistic bison was hand drawn on the one side of the helmet and the school shield done on the other. 'Manitoba' fills up the chin and is done with gold/sand metallic paint to stand out against the team colours behind it. The Bisons logo fills up the top of the helmet with the Bisons wordmark somewhat ghosted behind. Lastly, the school logo is ghosted on the brown and sand areas just as a nice, little detail. www.instagram.com/northwoodairbrushing 3 Quote
indykrap Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 That is SWEET. And I'm not just saying that as a UofM alumni. Quote
TheGoalNet Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 How is painting that new CCM shell? Anything great or weird about it? Quote
dnovak Posted September 5, 2024 Author Posted September 5, 2024 The top hardware are flat head knurled threaded inserts that are pressed into the top of the helmet. Instead of trying to pull them out and potentially crack the helmet, I prepped and primed them, then just painted over them. The cage hardware is on the inside of the cage (instead of outside like every other helmet) and there are rubber grommets instead of rubber washers. Other than that, pretty standard. The Nest Tech liner is pretty slick though. 1 Quote
