3mm

Thanks! I found some black 3.175mm 550 paracord at the store for $1.50 per 25ft so I picked up some. The needle set I got is on order for under $10:

When I did my pocket a few days a go it was a bit of a struggle with just needle noise pliers so this should get things going! That curved lacing needle will really help!

It seems if I went with the 4mm it would be a bit too much, so this should work fine!

Thanks both of you for your help.

I'd say 4mm is the normal gear lace size. Just saying it out Warrior has reduced the lace size in their gloves closer to 3mm (G6 atleast) and it isn't long lasting either.

Paracords, that I've seen so far don't last long in the perimeter. Neither it is long lasting in the pocket but better than perimeter that is rubbed to ice and will get through paracord quickly.

I've put in several games a week since my lacing job and so far no wear and tear on the pocket yet.

Even if it goes south at some point it will take me less than an hour to re-do it all with my needle set.

For the parameter what should I use then?
