Got some new vinyl for my new(ish) bucket ahead of the new season. Last year, I went with a Whalers design, which was alright… This year, Instead of waiting to see which team I end up on, I decided to just match it to my gear. I think it works.

Pure Goalie is the only retailer I know who advertises them and in fact, they have a great customizer on their site that I used to send to my retailer.  

Yeah, PG is where I discovered the option but once shipped, if the do, I would end up paying well over 600$ after the exchange and all. Not interested. Mckenney is still my best option.

Finally got new skates to replace my well served True Onepieces. Really excited about these Konekt 2:s. Felt really good even before the baking and after that even better. Can't wait to get on ice with these.

A few new items. Found some used Canadian made True 12.2's for cheap so I had to pick them up. There is a small wear spot on the knee wing that I have to get fixed, but have covered them with 3M for the time being.

Got some True L87's, 590 glove, game ready extra. Only playing once a week (if that) has made break-in take forever. I miss the old floppy gloves. I might see if I can swap in a single T, I prefer the feel and look.

Just got a Protechsport Potvin full kevlar. Fits great, haven't been able to wear it on ice yet, and with my kids hockey schedule it may be a while before I do.

New to me Bauer Pro Series with Mach arms. Was used once by the original owner. My Brown is too hot for Texas rinks in the summer. Unsure if I will keep both. Didn’t get enough shots against tonight to feel how protective it is, but much lighter and cooler than the Brown. It is size large with large arm, and the arms feel a bit long. The top of the bicep is a little exposed if I am not in my stance. Have a modification I am trying tomorrow. It also feels like the shoulder caps are too high up. I might swap them to opposite sides so they cover a bit lower and stand more vertical.

Looks strange, like the arms don´t fit the unit at all. Upper part seems too low and there si big gap. Original arms don´t do that. Shoulder caps are to high.

This is my short term fix, using parts from a Kenesky chesty that Chenner sold me a while back. Going to flip the shoulder caps to opposite arms today to see if it makes it any better. If I really like this chesty more than my Brown, I think I will send the arms off to Sara at PAW to add some additional upper padding.

Set up almost complete now that the sticks are in.

Cards on the table, my goalie program partnered up with Warrior this summer, so I was hooked up pretty good. Coming from years and years of Lefebvre to the last couple in Bauer. I like where Warrior is right now, maybe a couple tweaks need to be done going forward. 
 

R7 RTL Set. 7.1 gloves. 

M3 RTL sticks. I went with the Twist curve and a 25” steep shoulder. 
 

I have an RF2 mask that is going to get wrapped as Potvin’s kings design.

I agree. Mine, a large also, with regular arms sits well on me. I'm 6'2, 195. If anything on mine is that the arms fall a bit short if I lace the arms in tight and I wish it would wrap further out around the ribs for side shots. That might be my next mod.

Set is finally complete. First time really having fully non matching gear. The pocket and palm seems bigger on the Brian’s than the V90

The set actually all looks good together. Love the all black X5's. I just got the stock ones with the silver and still love them, but if I ever go custom...

Is that the Brian's 580 break? How do you like it?

It is and so far it feels good. I haven’t gotten to use it on the ice yet but it’s pretty much broken in right out of the box with slight stiffness. Played with one in store and liked the closure so went for it.
