Will see how this goes. Most white I have had in a while. Curious to hear your feedback, i went from V9 pros to SLR4 PC with no internal break. Love them. Quote

Having used so many sets over the years I pretty much know first game if they are for me or not. I'm glad to hear @keeperton was able to change strapping and get his set to work for him. But it's usually not my experience at least. Some things like sliding material and over all pad shape/characteristics you cannot change. It's at that point where... 7 hours ago, keeperton said: "I waited x months and spent y amount of money for this?!" Which is really why I hate waiting for those super long wait times these days on custom orders and usually won't go full custom unless it's around 2 months or less. Buying used/SL Swap has just seemed to work better since you get instant gratification and also can turn around and sell it for less feel bads lol. 2 Quote
Smalls Posted January 9 Posted January 9 In my search for a new chestie I came across this Mark One Pro locally (somehow) last night. Barely used. It's a size large, but the adjustment points on the arms allowed me (normally a Medium user) to fit into it. I don't tuck so the large body actually isn't much of an issue it seems. Haven't played in a game yet, I will tonight so I'll know if it's actually what I'm looking for or not soon. But with it on at the house with gloves and pants on it feels really nice. Lots of adjustability on the unit basically everywhere I looked. 8 Quote

I wonder how much a Russian Spec version would go for on SLS.... 1 7 Quote

Idk but if I don't like it I'm taping a Bauer CRS strap across the back and doubling the price that's for sure! My game got cancelled tonight so I don't have any off the cuff remarks on it, and wont play until Tuesday now. By the feel of it though it reminds me a lot of my Passau. Might be a little lighter than the Passau but still prolly twice as heavy as most Bauer units I've been in. Which doesn't bother me at all, but I know others hate. Usually the arms on every new unit I've ever put my arm in are not immediately comfy and are unusually stiff as you would expect from new stuff but these feel pretty great. I do like the look of the chesty in general. The broader looking shoulders is definitely a shape I like with a flatter belly area. Something I will have to re-train on this unit is I think the guy I bought it from hung it from a hanger for who knows how long because the back is kinda hunched up when just sitting there. I tie down in the back, so when it's on it doesn't do that but I think after using it a few times and letting it sit on the ground like I have done for years it will get rid of that. Quote

Lots of adjustability on the unit basically everywhere I looked. I went on their website (MarkHockey.Ru for anyone curious) - 89000 Rubles = $874 USD for their full-custom unit. I can't imagine shipping from Russia to be very cheap these days, either. A size large is weighed in at 3700 grams = 8.15 lbs, this thing is probably tanky as hell Design-wise, what intrigues me most is these little air pillows on the underside of the shoulder floaters - looks like a way to help the floaters present a little more square and possibly deaden rebounds. Also liking how they decided to integrate the arms into the body - looks like you can actually get a couple inches each way), although not a big fan of having the plastic D-clip there. 1 Quote
Smalls Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Yeah that last adjustment picture for arm length is really what allowed me to make this large work for someone my size (5'10" 185lbs). The guy I bought mine from was 6'2" 170. I had reached out via Instagram for help ordering a custom unit before I found mine locally. Their site is untranslatable in some areas and I wanted to make sure there was clear comms if I was to order especially at well over 800 USD. My local guy says he went through the UKGoalieNetwork youtuber that the review video on this page is posted by, as his main contact point between the company and consumer. So I'd reach out to him if anyone is interested as it may be easier than trying to translate your way through without. So it seems like they can be hard to get for NA buyers at least but yeah it really has a ton of adjustment points even throughout the arms. The elbow cup is adjustable on front and rear of it, as well as the padding piece for fingers up glove people that can be moved from one arm to the other depending on glove hand. Then all the other places most other chesties have on arms as well like upper arm and forearm straps. I don't feel that D clip at all when wearing it around at least but will comment back when I skate Tuesday. Quote

The most important thing that I know about them from customer reviews is that they have damn well established feedback with the customer and, in general, the entire order support service. I cannot verify the authenticity of these reviews since I have never contacted them myself. also if you have any questions with the translation of their site, I will try to help you to the best of my ability Edited January 13 by ser33 Quote

Chenner29 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 NCAA return SLR pants arrived today from Goalies Plus. These are really nice coming from CCM HPG14s. I felt like the CCMs were a bit restrictive when leaning forward, and also when bringing my thighs together. Really felt like I was wearing wood plank pants. These don't seem to have that issue. If you look at the last pic, they seem to hinge forward very nicely - the big hip plates in the front overlap with the thigh barrels, so nothing in the pant feels like it's pushing on or interfering with another piece of padding. Also note in the first pic how the hip plates flare out from the rest of the pant - free real estate. Last thought, finally someone was courageous enough to get rid of the front crotch plate that seems to be in every pant on the market. I'm not skating as often these days, but I'll start a review thread after first skate and add to it as I get more time in them. 2 Quote

The SLR3 got rid of the crotch plate, the one in the SLR2 was pretty small anyhow, but I haven't noticed it being gone in the SLR3 in terms of protection. Took like 3-4 skates to get used to, but they're super mobile, well made, and protective as all hell. 1 Quote

They take up a ton of space while somehow being so mobile I don’t even notice them. Kudos to Vaughn for a great design. 1 Quote
RockyMountainTendy Posted Wednesday at 09:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:15 PM My mask is finally done getting wrapped, man I know the guys over at mask wraps were probably annoyed with me I’m so damn picky and detailed. Down to the darkness of the shading and placement of certain entities. Only complaint is they cut off the head of the doe…but other than that it’s perfect! But of course I just HAD to get sick today, ugh. Hope I’m better by Tuesday, doing more hockey skills classes. 2 Quote
