dnovak Posted November 7 Share Posted November 7 Did this one for a tendy that has few different sets of gear and wanted a helmet to go with all them so the pencil sketch idea was great for that. Being a Potvin fan, we started with Potvin's Bruins style design and incorporated the tendy's last name on the chin in the teeth. The top is the logo from the Soo Hunt because he was an extra for an episode of Shoresy. The backplate is a really meaningful piece for him and wanted to somehow incorporate a decal he had made up for his niece. Never telling him the idea I had, I surprised him with this idea that I've had in mind for awhile of making something look like a sticker but is actually painted on and this was the perfect opportunity for it. All the artwork is done in pencil with a matte clear over top and the 'sticker' on the back is done in a gloss to really give it that sticker look.
