35RoloSmith41 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 I swear this is the hardest glove to relace. It seems like some of the stock nylon is what holds the glove together as well. I’ve done Bauer gloves with zero issues. This one’s so tight and I’m pretty sure I cut some nylon that needed to stay to keep the glove together. losing my mind. Just cut out the first attempt. Quote
DL42 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 yea its really tight to get the lace underneath the other lace. but to disconnect just cut the t cord mount. i believe there are 2 set of laces. cut one of them and just leave it hanging it s not going to fall apart. Then just follow the old lacing one on each side of the t from t base to tip. then go back and figure out the floating part with one or 2 twist and make it look nice. i did a floating t on my g2 g3, g4,g6 gloves. usullay take 30 min each side watching a game and like 10 min for the float part. OldSchoolGoalie Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) You can either just follow the existing pattern or use one of the other standard ones which is generally universal. Buy yourself a lacing needle set like this if you haven't done so already: I pretty much just use this method on all my gloves. I had to add an additional two holes with my Vaughn one to make it work the best though for how I wanted the pocket, but try it as is before doing something like that. ArdeFIN Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 (edited) The base of the T is laced with two ends of nylon, other from the finger side and the other from thumb side. Thumb side lace is knotted at the strap that holds the finger protection, this is easier to open and de-lace to the T. The finger side lace is knotted at where the thumb protector edge is, and there are a few other laces there too so it is pretty damn tight to pull the lace out. When both ends are free de-lace them back to where they hold the T boot. Relese that and relace the ends or just make knots there. Now you have the boot free and just have to relace the webbing and add some float to your liking. Few very poor pictures to spot the knots. Green and red squares are the laces of interest and blue rings are where the knots are on the other side of the edge. Also a good closeup to the very poor lace that Warrior has chose to use instead of the thicker quality lace they used before. It is softer than many others like CCM and Bauer use though but they must have a good reason to go for the lower quality in lacing... For undoing the knots and lacing I highly recommend some flat pliers, I use Knipex ones but any similar will help to get the lacing done. Edit: dang there was no knot anymore and only the loose loop that is pulled after the knot is undone. The knot was on the pocket side of the grey jenpro loop that holds the black plastic loop. This video is great but one issue I’m having is choosing the holes to use. I his glove starts with 3 points and mine seems to have 5. I added photos with numbers on the holes. Would you just start with 1 then 3 then 5 on my glove or something like that? Quote

If you check out the last comment on my thread here: I added some additional holes to make it work better but still followed the same pattern. It doesn't matter if you have 3 or 5 holes the idea is the same. Inside out. This was the stock: This was when I did my first attempt: Then I added more holes and did it again: The pattern is 100% the same, it doesn't matter if you have more holes it doesn't change. You'll see I matched the hole count to that of a Warrior glove with 5 like yours. If you need more clarification let me know. Then once you do this setup for the starting part - you go from the outside of the T and skip the loop you just made, weave inside out until you get to the starting area just like the video and keep going.
