This is a bit of a follow up to my prior mod where I did the floating T, and it wasn't the cleanest but since re-doing the parameter lacing I've cleaned up the pocket and moved the final ends to the proper spot as opposed to above the T.

I ended up doing the parameter lacing as it was now time to not only fix up my pocket and floating T that was done before, but due to ball hockey there was enough wear and tear on certain spots which were hanging on by a single strand! I also had a problem where the glove wouldn't close as well and this can be attributed to the parameter lacing being too tight. The glove actually closes even better now and I've had it for 2 years now. Prior there was always a 1" gap unless you used a lot of force to snap it shut.

This was probably the easiest thing I've done in terms of goalie gear repair. I did use 3mm/550 which is just called Cali Cord, but in future I would probably stick to something smaller and solid as the paracord I was working with would tangle and bunch up.

Took about 15 minutes with a threading needle.

Also a tip, if you ever do this but like how the pocket is, you can retain the pocket as is. When working near the T just feed it through those bottom loops. For this I ended up re-doing the entire pocket and floating T to clean up the messy job I did last time.

+1 Better pocket now.
+1 Cleaner floating T mod.
+1 New Parameter lacing.
+1 Glove closes much easier and with very little effort.

I personally find some cheaper paracord hard to use, I have found that there's a core that gets moved around easily and if the core gets loose the whole thing needs to be replaced.

I wont lie, this cord was $1 for the roll. 🤣 The paracord I used for the prior pocket was salvaged for the parameter lacing, then used some fresh stuff for the new pocket. Still cheapo paracord but no issues with breakdown since September 2024 when I first used it. Just really hard to work with.

When I need to replace it I'll get some better stuff for sure. Most of the parameter lacing is worn from ball hockey when covering on the floor and moving, and doing passes with my glove directly on the floor as it is covered. Pocket has held up from ice though without any issues.
