CCM Premier 2 Long Term Review

In the review, you mention the sliding being great on fresh ice, and then degrading back to standard jenpro quality (or below) as snow accumulates. What about the SpeedSkin material makes it different from the Primo/OptiSlide, where the latter retains its sliding ability on snowy ice?

From a meta-review perspective, it seems like if we could make a CCM pad with Brian's weight and sliding surface, and Warrior's bindingless boot, it would basically be the perfect butterfly goalie pad.

If you catch the end, I explain that Speed Skin is sorta what you put in is what you get out. To me, it’s a more controlled slide than Opti Slide or CORtech. A big push works better than Jenpro, but you can still do a small controlled slide.

Yes, the effects of Speed Skin change with ice conditions, but it’s always better then Jenpro.

I can see some people preferring Speed Skin and others Opti-Slide. Opti-Slide to me seems to the best on choppy ice and that small pushes can still get big slides.

I must have missed that part of the review when I watched it. The perils of having dogs consuming your attention!

Where are these adult leagues who get zambonis in between periods? It never occurred to me that would even be a thing and now I want all of my leagues to do it, too.

the review is for goalies of all ages. There are 16 year olds playing decent hockey that will get floods between periods.
