Goalie Gear Nerd's Instagram Warrior G4 Review

Are there any followers of #goaliegernerd on Instagram here?

I have a slightly annoying beef with them and i wondered if anyone else was removed from following them because you criticised a single pic they posted....

Any stories are appreciated

PS- I predicted they would not post a single negative point to their "in-depth" reviews of the new G4 Warrior set, and they said i would be very wrong in my prediction. Well once it came out a few days later, there wasn't a single negative point mentioned in the gear and I reminded them of this and boom, gone.  Is the owner of #goaliegearnerd 12 or 13 years old?  If you cant take the good with the bad, why be on social media?

I follow him.  I don't really pay attention to posts or comments though.  I only use IG to pass time scrolling through pictures.

I treat gear info from Instagram folks like tabloids. Superficial, and for entertainment only.

"That's nice, Dear".

I’ve gotten to know some of the other goalies who are active on social media. I can say that GGN takes goalie equipment very seriously. I’m sure his review was very well thought out. Although he made have not said “this thing blows”, I’m sure there’s some points there are not over the top praise either. 

Why did you feel there would not be negativity to his review? Do you have issues with Warrior gear?

I was ousted because i wasn't wrong. Im not going into details with my own personal gear reviews. When it comes to Warrior Gear inside the goaliegearnerd subjective review, there has NEVER been a single issue in their opinion, like its flawless from G3, GT to G4. The issue is with the reviewer not the gear. Don't call it "in depth" when it was clearly a polished victory for Warrior again. Call it a "preview" of their gear at best with lots of pics.

Okay, I can understand that perspective. I don’t have it here, but I have it with every store’s review ever. Kind of one of the reasons I started this.

I seem to remember that netminder is the same guy that walked into a warrior thread on this board and started blasting warrior unprovoked.

Was even "so sure" that senior warrior blockers were the same as intermediate blockers from other brands.

It seems he is just biased against Warrior

Every G4 review I've seen on the internet has been positive...so whats your point?  I have G4's, guess what, I don't have anything negative to say about them either.  I'm not a Warrior fan boy, I own 4 sets of gear from 5 different company's (Eflex 3's with Factory Mad gloves) and like them all.  I have certain preferences and things I like about each set, but that doesn't mean that there are negatives, they are just personal preferences.

You weren't ousted for not being wrong, you were ousted for not bringing anything to the table except provocation and hostility simply because you didn't get the response you were looking for.  Sounds more like you are the one with the biased views.

(engages child mindset) We should all get Warrior G4 gear just to annoy netminder. Personally I wouldn't mind trying a set of them though I am satisfied with my LT88s.

A little childish to block someone based on person opinions.....to run a business or an insagram page you should take critiques from others following your page, and take it with a grain of salt. Perhaps he didn't have obvious reviews, I find that many of these goalie pages reviews are not on ice reviews, just reviews from the companies site they copied and pasted. Take it as is...it is what it is.

I brought something to the table, I called out where that review will go, and it will be flawless, as is EVERY single time they review Warrior gear every year. I was told i would be wrong. I welcomed that reply.......then when it was released, i was wasn't wrong, it was flawless and told them to keep up the good work. They ate crow and deleted my following. Nothing more nothing less. Dont post on social media if you cant handle truth's. Where was i in the wrong???

From I can tell, the CCM P2 intermediate is exactly the same perimeter dimension as the G4 senior Pro. More ignored facts. What did i do wrong here too? Whats blasting or provoking exactly??

- No it's not.

Just because the dimensions are the same does not make them the same blocker. The Warrior is far more customizable than the CCM. There are too many difference between CCM and Warrior to list them all.

As stated by Mr Shifty, the internet is never all rock solid truth. Social Media has been designed for us to post the fun things about our lives.

It's more than just Warrior, GGN's CCM review was much the same. It's basically a "deep dive" into the product's features and benefits, not really a review per se.

Im not interested in custom.  This was discussed long ago, just Because Warrior offers a Pro "level" glove, shouldn't it be Pro sizing too?. Thats how they shave weight.

Try not to go off topic, i'm not pissing on Warrior with more facts. I wanted to know if you get muted on Social Media for challenging a theory, why even host a social media platform to the general public in the first place?

Really?  So you feel like because its social media that you should have the right to criticize and they should have to listen to you?  Whats your angle?  You either don't like this person or don't like the product.  But for some reason you feel entitled to call them out and even more so, slighted that they chose not to entertain it.  What I want to know is why you feel that you should have a voice on GoalieGearNerds Instagram page?  Even if its public, they have control because it's their content.  Too bad.

Perhaps I should've changed my wording. The Warrior blocker is far more tunable/adjustable than the CCM blocker. Or if you would like me to dumb it down to a level low enough for you, the Warrior blocker has more velcro and straps than the CCM blocker.

Also I'm sorry. I'm a high school student and a goalie, in other words, I'm terrific at poking fun and insulting every little detail about a person. You're just too easy for my skill set to not have fun with things like typos and misinterpreting others comments. Everyone here is likely more professional than me but sometimes it takes that one dick-of-a-person in the corner to end a fight.

Also think of this before attacking other: It's hundreds of people against only you. Try to picture that for a second, a crowd of people surrounding only you, and you are the target of their anger.

WHERE did i say come across as entitled?? I never asked for a negative review from them, i never asked them to hear me out or ban me, i never did a single thing defined as entitled. Voices on their page is exactly for what its for, to add comments or disable comments if you please.  You are confused, sorry. If you believe in communism or no freedom of speech is your thing, then so be it. They ate crow based on facts i presented and voila, done, im out. Again, nothing more, nothing less.

Its an age thing? So doesn't surprise me. You should have more respect for yourself if you feel this form of trolling is your "skill set".

Also i dont have to think about myself vs a crowd when i was NEVER attacked anyone. Having a beef with a social media website is not attacking, its a dislike for how they handle ignorance.
