All the pictures from his last season I can find are with a Jofa. It looks like when the Blues changed their sweaters for 84-85 he changed his old style mask too. 84-85 2016 Dude I may be dead wrong sorry buddy. I was a Liut fanboy and I may just remember him wearing the Lefebvre combo in Hartford and Washington. I was also at the game where MacInnis injured Liut and that’s when the Jofa came out in the next period. Nets were held in by magnets back then too. But I may be a bit too old to get all the details in order.

Some of that time blended together. I am an old coot and I forget a few things. The magnetic nets were a 1-2 season experiment. Guys I knew who played on that ice said it took more force than a Marshpeg to dislodge the magnetic pegs.

GDI is one I heard of but never saw in the NHL but Torspo was big in the 70s and 80s in Europe but Butch Goring wore a Torspo SPAPS helmet and they also made the biggest goalie cage ever. Snowman30
GDI stood for Goalie Development Institute, it was gear made by Dave Agtone (Vortek gear) . GDI was big back then for having alot of pro, semi pro goalies with them. The also owned From the crease magazine/paper that came out

Ah, I had only barely the slightest recollection of Torspo, and with the T covered was drawing a blank. 5 hours ago, Snowman30 said: GDI stood for Goalie Development Institute, it was gear made by Dave Agtone (Vortek gear) .
