cheddarberg
Hey everyone, I'm currently wearing Vaughn SLR's in a 33" and my knee lands exactly where I want it to. Found a great deal on a set of Ventus LT98's and was wondering if they would size up to be the exact same..? Unfortunately this deal is online only, therefore I can't try them on in person.. I've heard so many people say that older Vaughn models settle and shrink over time, is that true with the LT98's..? Can anyone shed some more light on this? dualshowman
While I have only recently purchased my LT98s (34+2), I can say that these are in no way similar in construction to a Vaughn pad of yore that was known to shrink/settle. I can’t image the construction of the SLR is much, if at all, different from the LT98. I know the strapping setup is, but that’s about it. For what it’s worth, these LT98s measure up exactly the same as my Reebok Premier IIIs (34+2). Back when my PIIIs were new, the we’re markedly bigger than any Vaughn pad I experienced with the same listed measurements.
southpawtendy48
haven't worn either before but i couldn't imagine the lt98's to settle that much over time seeing as they're made to cater more to a butterfly style (i.e. a stiffer pad) so i don't think you should worry about that, also lt98 is old but not that old, they were released in 2015. so you should be fine with the durability. Also the sizing between the SLR and LT98 should be the same, except the strapping is different.
