Will these materials hold up on a dek surface? (speedskin, airslide, etc.) i play dek hockey on the side on 2 separate teams as practice and dont want to have to rotate my old eflex 2 760s with whatever next pair of pads i get but i dont have the budget to buy 2 sets of leg pads

Use your new pads for ice and your old pads for Dek.

I would think they would hold up fine. I play ball hockey and roller hockey and I've had my pads for 9 years or so and they've held up fine. They're jenpro but I'd imagine any new material would be just as durable, probably wouldn't sell well if it wasn't.

What type of floor do you play on? As long as it's smooth you should be fine.

You could also put something on the sliding surface to protect it if you're worried about it. Slide plates or even duct tape would probably work.

Dude, it's DEK hockey.  I'd dig through my crawlspace and use my old Heaton Pro90z's before I ran the risk of damaging brand new pads.  Trust me on this, I screwed up a new pair of custom Battrams many moons ago playing roller on them.  Even though they had built in (removeable) sliders the Clarino still didn't like it.  I used them for literally 2 games and went back to my old pads.  Save your good pads for important games and use your old pads for stuff that doesn't matter quite as much.

They seal fine and aren't that heavy. Just get stronger legs.

they really dont seal well lol the whole thigh rise and knee stack lifts like Quicks pads when i go down and the weight isnt horrible but theyre not light by any means lol

ok cool, im considering G4s, GTs or x900 vapors and dont want them to wear out. GTs are just jenpro but the g4s have airslide and the vapors have that COR-tech stuff

the floor i play on is an indoor roller style surface, ill attach a pic from them

ik its just dek hockey, but the pads im considering play far different styles compared to the CCMs, and would prefer to not have to an overly soft pad to a much much stiffer one back and forth, i feel like it would mess me up in terms of my play style
