Or something similar.  You can get a small piece of leather-like material fir the backside and to help strengthen it.

PadWrap or PadSkinz is great for this, with the added bonus of being able to color coordinate with your gear.

The ECO padding has a bit of a stretch to it.  You'll definitely want some kind of backing or it'll pull off the mask hardware.

Aren't you still in H.S?  You may want to check your league's rules.

I played in the same high school league.  They don't check for stuff like that.  I didn't wear anything back then.  No chin cup nor a sling.

I don’t wear a chin cup either, so good thing they don’t check haha

Unrelated, but who did you play for?

What does a chin sling do that is different from a chin cup? Honestly, what is a chin sling?

If you remove your chin cup that hangs from your mask, you're left with a chin sling, basically.

The word "sling" is unfortunate,  as nothing is hanging or suspended.

A chin cup is more of a "sling" than a chin sling.

There is a whole thread with tons of photos on here somewhere.

Sachem.  Long time ago though, I was class of 02.

Seagoal is pretty much correct.  A chin cup is technically more of a "sling" than a ching sling in the actual sense of the word.  A chin sling is is more like a cradle.  Your chin doesn't actually sit in the sling, its just kind of wrapped in it.

I didn’t know you could move them in different places

I wouldn't say they're movable.  It just depends on how much material is used to make up the sling.  If you have a bigger sling it will sit you closer to the cage.  If you have a smaller sling, like I have, it sits you further back.

Doesn’t that move your face closer to the cage?

Well it would depend on how well the mask fits and how tight it is strapped,  but most likely,  yes.

Chin cups typically sit masks higher and more forward than a mask would fit without one.
