Adding Straps and tightening leg channels

I have extremely skinny legs and have thought all year that my Vaughns were too loose. I like a very tight leg channel (Jonathan Quick tight) and that isn’t really a stock option anymore. I added foam from an old chesty and tied it into the leg channel with lace from some old itech gloves. I took Velcro and glued it to an old strap so I had a soft side and put them on! #QuarantineMods

Nice!  I love this idea but want to make it more permanent.  Tried similar as I have similar issues but I found connecting to the laces in the pads doesn't stay well over time.  Anyone tried moving the leg channel in at all?
