Basically just tape rolled up into a rough shape and then taped over to give a similar feel. Taping shoulders with standard tape is hard if anyone has tips please share them I thought of doing the same thing Did you roll up some joints to fit under the tape?

It fills the negative space in your your palm making the stick easier to hold. 4 minutes ago, Chenner29 said: I thought of doing the same thing Did you roll up some joints to fit under the tape? Or is this a way to make it easier to grip a stick with the trapper?

Personally I hold my stick on the shaft with the glove much higher than the paddle like so (sorry no picture evidence of myself since I don’t play the puck much) A blocker should have no issues holding a stick but the pentagrip certainly makes it easier especially for guys with bigger hands. DL42
just add a small knob on the shaft and hold it there. the grip is whatever. the stick lie, shape of blade, flex is more important, no pro can give crap about new marketing hype. rather stick to what already works. new material yes, not new features. GoalieInTheDesertYT
Since everyone was cutting sticks I figured why not. here’s my grip and how I hold it. Only got on the ice twice since cutting the stick, but I did notice a difference in play. thinking about cutting the 2s Edited September 30, 2022 by GoalieInTheDesertYT Grammar is hard
itis121
After 3 years with my s190 grip I finally cut my 1s. Now I got matching sticks.
A.YOUNGoalie13
Paddle shavers, does shaving the paddle technically make it shorter? I know the paddle physically gets shorter but do you technically still hold a 25 where you would hold a stock one?

My factory custom Warriors with steep shoulders starts where a traditional 25" would start.

Went from holding my paddle at 26 down to a 24 after the cut. made a world of difference in my game.

Not really, I still wrap middle finger around where paddle meets the shaft

I guess if you hold it more on the shaved part like @GoalieInTheDesertYT it will feel smaller. Thanks for the advice guys!

Thanks for the advice guys! I'd agree that if you cut the paddle you end up holding it lower. My last project was a 26" Bauer that feels closer to a 25" now.

Made my 25 play more like a 23ish, which I’m fine with because I hold a stock 24 on the paddle as shown in picture.
Hockey34
Here’s another grip I have done. All I did was make the paddle narrower because holding the paddle on a stock shoulder like I do (see post above for how I hold the stock shoulder), every puck that hits the paddle feels like it breaks my pinkie finger, so I made it narrower so that it doesn’t hurt as bad. Then here’s how I hold it. Edited May 6 by Hockey34

When everything is dried the tape is removed and sanded to give the grip a smoother finish.
A.YOUNGoalie13
First time! I lost my ps card. The two test rund are behind my final product. The mach started as a 26 and now basically holds as a 25 (maybe like a 24.75 lol) This dremel tool was a tank I highly recommend.
