Something like 41%. So aside from them, who's still wearing CCM, Bauer and Vaughn? I feel like this happened overnight. This one? Doesn't specify what metrics are being used to come up with that number. CCM was about 28% or so before the split and I don't think Bauer's or Vaughns overall market share has dropped that significantly. I'm guessing they're considering if a goalie uses anything True branded in those stats. https://www.geargeek.com/position/goalie Believe these numbers were from the 19-20 season. You just accept the numbers as presented, otherwise the whole marketing schema we live by will have to answer too many questions...

So I decided, at the determent of my actual work, to take a quick survey to see how accurate True's marketing was. This is only considering STARTERS and that's based off of who has the most games played currently. Out of all the starters, only 9 goalies were wearing full True sets (pads/gloves) and one was wearing a single piece of True gear that differentiates from his normal set (Blackwood). Even if we wanted to count the mismatched piece, that leaves us with 10 goalies out of 31 teams. So a 32% statistic. I may be off on something as this was just a quick compilation, but I guarantee that True's marketing team is fudging how they come up with those statistics. It has to be the inclusion of their skates. True Stats.xlsx Edited February 19 by coopaloop1234

Not sure if these guys are actually starting or not as I haven't really been following Bernier - Detroit Edmonton - Smith Nashville - Rinne Florida - Bobrovsky is partially in True

All white true pads, ccm glove and blocker with the color zones from last year which already didn’t match.

Although, I suppose I could have ended the sentence after his name. Ed Olczyk is the same way. It seems to be a thing among the colour commentators who have never played the position that I’ve noticed with CBC/TSN commentators too, whereby they try to overcompensate for their lack of familiarity by throwing a few buzz words like “into the butterfly “ into a faulty critique. A non goalie reviewing a replay of a goal, and saying the goalie did X too early/late, and should have just done Y is like reviewing all of a skater’s shots that missed/were saved, and saying “he just should have scored.” I find it especially egregious and irritating with Craig Simpson, but they seem to all do it. Jamal Mayers and doofus one and two blamed delia earlier this year for a uncontested shot in the slot after blaming for another goal where 6’5 zadorov ran delia over. Add Eddie O to that dumpster fire and anything over two goals and you should be out of the league. Except for Lankinen. They must like him cuz they suck him off every night

I remember a lot of the earlier stuff having a very washed out look to them like the Anderson ones above. Even these black ones from The Hockey Shop were very washed out in person. They've definitely improved on fine tuning their saturation on the pads.
