Hey All... Just thought I'd get another thread going... This is my second set of gloves from Dave, who is also looking to move into pad production as well.  My glove is a Summit and blocker is an R12.  Dave did custom graphics to match my Passau Axiom Pads.  This set is seriously the best I've used... Glove has excellent closure, natural feel and is a vacuum.  I'm still a "blocker is a blocker" guy but the R12 is light, protective and I have no issues with paddle down.

Made some minor changes from my first set Dave did... Blocker - Different finger protection, its the Bionic player glove style.  The glove I went with a game ready palm over the pro palm from my first one.  I also got rid of the skate lace pocket and went back to regular cord.  Questions welcome... And I'm also planning to post a full review in the coming weeks

So this one is like the Summit 7 glove? It looks well rounded and wide.

How did you get Dave to reply to your emails/messages? I've tried contacting him multiple times with one brief response via Facebook.

Patience mostly.  He only builds gear PT and can be difficult to get in touch with at times.  All I can say is that the wait is worth it

Persistence!!!  I've talked to him a few times on Facebook... but he just randomly stops responding lol... so you need to poke him lol.  I ended up buying a glove that he built for someone else on GGSU to see if i like the design. (just the glove no nash blocker for this guy).

Did you email him? I know it is spotty to contact him on Facebook. The man does great work

I emailed him and messaged him on Facebook multiple times. He responded a few times on Facebook but I haven't received a reply since my last message on Sunday. His work looks top notch, but it seems impossible to get him to do any work for me.

Sorry to hear that. Any communication I had with him was quick. Turn around time was also quick

Yeah, everyone who Dave has done work for seem to have the same sentiment. I guess I'll just keep pestering him until I get some sort of response.

Finally got a hold of Dave, had to message him a few times to get his attention. Sending out my glove to get reskinned this week and will post the results once I get it back.

I don't ever remember seeing "Summit 3" gloves before? Were they the cheaper/Senior version of the Summit 7?

I picked up a set of these dirt cheap from TGC maybe 6-7 years ago to go with the Summit 7 pads I found on sale. The Summit gloves are a great design but the 3 series is really cheaply made. Not even close to the 7s in build quality and materials. The colours are actually printed over white jenpro with stitching around the borders to make it look like separate pieces. The protection was really bad too. I badly bruised my glove hand on several occasions in beer league play.

This catcher sold me on Dave's glove designs though. I really hope he keeps up the WGD until I can justify buy an new set. Most natural feeling glove I've worn.

These might be good for ball hockey or something. But nothing where a puck is involved.
