StevenC
Ordered these from Sven at RXS on 21st January and arrived today in the UK. Coming from the PAW knee pads I was worried they’d be too bulky but after watching Dustin Smith’s (Bonsey’s) YouTube video I thought I’d take the risk. Having tried them on (off ice) they definitely don’t feel to bulky and they fit in the knee cradle of my G5’s well. Sizing wise they are a medium - the measurements I gave Sven were 33.5cm, 12cm below the knee and 43cm, 12cm above the knee. Quality wise they look top notch and not a stitch out of place. Will obviously be able to update the more I wear. Will get a chance to get them on the ice on Friday. Will update on protection when I get hit! Any questions or further photos, let me know. bildeer
I was already very close to pulling the trigger on these. Your review just pushed me over the edge! Excited to hear how they work for you. I had used the Koho 589's for many years and these seem to be a much more refined iteration of that formula. How was the order process? I’m going back and forth between ordering from PAW or RXS. Keep me posted once you try them on the ice. I would probably take off the plastic but not sure if the RXS warrants the price for me at least.
insertnamehere
They look great, but after running the price into Canadian dollars, not accounting for any taxes or shipping came to $517... I don't think any knee pad is worth that to me.

Really easy. 2 or 3 emails to Sven and it was all sorted.

To be honest, taking the shell off would make them just like an ortho knee brace (yes there is a small amount of padding on other parts of the pad than the shell). If i was to take the shell off, the PAW's would be way more protective that the RXS.

Unless i wanted some basic Warrior/Bauer's that i have tried and dont like then its importing from overseas for me. But yes, they are pretty pricy. For comparison, one of my Warrior Senior knee pads weighed in at 337 grams.
