Whats the source?

For sale ad on GGSU.  Same dude is selling Price's VH skates.

Tan interior, looks like a beefed up tongue.  The tan clarino is stitched onto the inside edge of the tongue.

Supposedly its to protect the inner ankle from abrasion, as the tongues, depending on your metatarsal shape, will not sit straight in the skates (mine do the same thing).

@stackem30 - I am with you. I like the steam lined shoulders. Optik will be the closest thing you can buy now. The NHL regulation are up in the air, so who knows when that is coming to retail

From what I have heard the 2S is NHL legal next year.

holding the 2S pants in store it was a crazy departure from what is “old spec”

Hi @Urabus33 and welcome.

With some insider knowledge on the process...

Nothing is technically complying with “new nhl” Spec for C&A. It’s not enacted and the rules are not finalized. Bauer and Brian’s dove in and embraced the potential changes. Rules can change between now and whenever they go into effect

True, I should have specified that its not set in stone like the actual rule, but It is noticeable slimmer and less bulky than the 1S. I like this direction of c/a's. I hate a bulky chest piece.

I was told the league will move forward with custom sized chest and arm units next year based on player measurements, similar to how leg pads are now sized.

Based on some units I've seen, it wouldn't surprise me if curved arm protection is banned in favor of something more form fitting.

I was flipping through some Youtube vids and caught this.

Roy with Mrazek straps back in 1997!

We should rename them (unabashed Roy fan here)

I had them around that same time too. Had a local cobbler add them to my Simmonds C&A in high school. Lalime had them too.

Crazy these didn’t make it to retail until VE8

The Goalie Crease just posted some new pro stock stuff they got on Facebook.

What's interesting to note is the logoless Warrior and the Premier unit front and center with extra rib protection.

The Premier in front is very intriguing, it looks baby sized compared to the other ones.  Maybe a Fit 2/Medium?
