I just don't wear anything, I don't need them.  I have a wide enough butterfly that my knees are never exposed to a shot.  The thigh rise of my pads completely touch and close my five hole.

So you are Gumby flexible.

I have the flexibility of a 2 by 4.

Oh okay, I didn't mean it in that way so sorry for my bad phrasing, I just experienced my self that if i didn't wear kneepads my knees would get bruised up by the impact of going down in the butterfly. So either it's because of you having amazing pads that is more shock absorbing, or you got nail eating knees ;)

Oh no I didn't take any offense to how you worded your question its fine buddy.  Yea I just don't need to wear them.  My knees don't hurt from dropping down either.  I have Vaughn V6 2000 pads, nothing out of the ordinary lol.

Need more pics in this thread.

Pictures are for the show off your gear thread.  This is just to list what you wear.  What we really should have done is just list what you're wearing with your pictures in the show off thread so we didn't have two separate threads.

Most of this gear I’m still trying to break in. But I kinda miss the soft/ flimsy feeling of my old gear had to. I changed gear due to too many bruises.

Neck: Nash dangler, Bauer Vapor clavicle protector (only when league requires neck guards)

Chest: medium Vaughn SLR pro carbon

Pants: medium Bauer Reactor 9000

Pads: Bauer supreme one60 34+1 w/ hal toe tie, Bauer supreme nxg 35+2 w/ Brian’s smart strap toe tie (trying to get use to them, but too large for my playing style/stance)

Knee pads: Bauer thigh wraps/ Bauer reactor (switch between the two)

Glove: Bauer supreme one60

Blocker: Bauer supreme one60

Jock: Bauer supreme

Skates: Bauer vapor x900

Sticks: Bauer s190 27”, Nike Bauer Vapor XX 26”-1/2”

Hi everyone,

So a little bit about me: I am 14, about 5'2", and play hockey around 10 times a week. I just wanted to go over my gear and what I think I want to change. Here is my gear! I included a little review for each, I hope this does not get moved to the reviews section!

Skates: Bauer Vapor x700 (JR) (Size 5) ($190)

Love them, I was really attached to my Bauer Reactor 3000s, and could not pull myself away. I bought 1S skates and was NOT a fan of them. I disliked them a lot. When the Vapors released, I decided to go ahead and purchase x700s, and I do not regret my purchase. Love them. Rocking the stock steel may switch. Let me know!

9/10

Knee Guards: Factory Mad Gen 3 ($325)

I love my Factory Mad Gen 3 Knee guards so much. I highly recommend them. Dennis Dombrowski (@Factorymad) is an amazing guy and makes some top quality gear and accessories. I used Bauer Reactor Knee Guards previously and was not feeling it. I will definitely stick with Factory Mad for my next knee guards. I highly recommend these knee guards.

10/10

Pants: Bauer Supreme S190 (INT) ($200)

I am also a huge fan of my new pants. I used to have Vaughns, and it was a very tough switch. I managed to pull myself away from the Vaughns. I highly recommend these, for they are more protective than the Vaughns.

8/10

Jock: Bauer Reactor (JR) ($30)

Standard Jock. Not a huge fan.

6/10

Neck Guard: Bauer Supreme (JR) ($30)

Not the best neck guard. I just invested in a new Maltese Sports neck guard that is coming soon. I am very excited for it, and will post some reviews on here!

Bauer Supreme Neck Guard: 5/10

Chest Protector: Vaughn SLR Carbon (JR) ($230)

Very tough to break in, but that is a common theme with all chest protects. Very protective, and I am in love with it. Always been a Vaughn guy for chest protectors. Highly recommend.

9/10

Helmet: Masked Marvel (Assault) ($830)

I love my Masked Marvel. It is the best mask I have ever used and I will always order from Masked Marvel from now on. I was not a huge fan of CCM or Bauer, so this switch was crucial. I am glad that my masked turned out so well. Money well spent.

10/10

Glove: CCM Extreme Flex 3.5 (JR) ($140)

I was not a huge fan of the CCM Extreme Flex glove in the beginning. Due to my lack of ability to close the glove and effectively break it in, I decided to ship it up to Dennis Dombrowski (@Factorymad.) Dennis did a phenomenal job, and it came game ready out of the box. I got a floating T with skate lace done, and I love it. Love this glove now, and get no stingers. It closes really well. Looking to change to FactoryMad though, phenomenal gloves.

9/10

Blocker: CCM Extreme Flex 3.5 (JR) ($130)

Blocker is a blocker. Pretty nice fit. No problems with it yet. Most likely changing to FactoryMad.

9/10

Pads: CCM Extreme Flex 3.5 (JR) ($370)

I love the CCM Extreme Flex pads. They seal nicely to the ice, which is an issue I had with Vaughn pads. I am extremely happy with my purchase. They control rebounds nicely and allow me to be quick. They also drop down very quickly and close together nicely. I am very fond of these CCM pads but would like to change to FactoryMad.

10/10

Sticks: True A6.0 SBP (INT) ($230 each)

I have two TRUE A6.0 SBP (INT) sticks. I am in love with them. They are very light and durable in my opinion. I am upset with myself, however, for I purchased the curve which does not give me "sick sauce." Oh well, I'll wait till summer to buy new ones. Maybe the Warrior CR1? Let me know!
