Michel said the protection is the same for both, it's just a weight issue and the inbetween one (some kevlar) doesn't make enough of a weight change to justify the added cost. I sent measurements and didn't do a head mold, and Michel just confirmed it'd fit. I'm second-guessing myself now. I also have a Theodore-mold from him too, which, from what I understand, is a medium-large size head. Both my Theodore and 961 masks were built off head molds I sent him. I recall someone mentioning that he has at least two 961 molds, so I’m sure one will work for larger heads. Personally I have a longer head so I would ask for a bit more length so that there isn’t a gap between the edge of the mask and backplate.
