Have you ever had your hands on a PS with the cream rubatex foam or just the black foam? I'm curious how similar the foam is to what Dom uses. @Chenner29 has a Pro's Choice - maybe two? I only have Protechs - a Theodore and a 961. Never had a PTS with the cream foam. Both of mine are the black foam.

Hockey37
Brodeur Fiberglass x 2. Already have a Brodeur Kevlar but its showing it's age and I wanted to be sure I had enough to keep me going for hopefully the rest of my playing days. Some good sales on SLS helped make pulling the trigger on the second one easier.
2padstack
I just received my Potvin full kevlar. Flat white (I might get this one painted or wrapped), chin sling, strapless back plate. Fits great, but will be waiting for a while to try it due to kids hockey schedule overlapping with my once a week ice time. It's been a while since I used a cat-eye, I've had a cheater on my Hackva for years. I threw it on the scale, it's about 1/2 lb lighter than my medium Hackva with Maltese padding. I ordered mid-February, sent my mold at the beginning of May. For anyone wondering about current pricing, it was $800 CDN, extra cage was $100 CDN.
Hyper180
Hey guys, haven't posted much but been able to find some time now to show off some of the Masks I received. Pulled the trigger on ordering a PS from Michel, amazing guy to deal with, super nice super attentive to all your questions and emails. Process took almost about 9-10 months. Ordered 2 Patrick Roy mask shell molded to my head/face. Roy rookie mask - Full Fiberglass (more for my collection than to play) Roy classic shell shape - Full Kevlar, Lefebvre clips, beige straps, chin sling, Roy vent holes, black foam, white cage. Couldn't be happier with the outcome, fit and finish is spot on and very comfortable, coming from a custom Sportmask T3. First picture are my new PS mask, Roy rookie and Roy Classic. Last picture is my line up of masks. Roy rookie, Sportmask T3 (long chin), Roy mold.
ZeroGravitas
Sent some money to Michel just under 2 weeks ago for a new mask. Was quoted a February build date. Going for a white mask, pro interior finish, round holes, white cat-eye cage, black foam, with chin sling. My current Theodore has triangular vents and the "wrong-ness" of that was always on my mind. Floated the idea of getting a Fleury mold (just 'cuz) depending on my head mold, but likely will end up getting another Theodore.

I wouldn't mind hanging my retired masks and your method look clean.

Of course after I installed them I saw them elsewhere for cheaper or in two-packs at Canadian Tire or at Dollar Stores, so shop around if you can. I installed them upside down with some heavy duty drywall anchors. The two prongs fit perfectly over the backplate and around the harness straps. The textured grip on the prongs hold the masks perfectly. I've had them up for over a year now and the masks haven't moved at all.

Cool Runnings
Does he include a velcro sweat band with it as well? or do you usually just get 3M velcro and do it yourself after? Is that accounted for after you send in the mold?
2padstack
Mine came with the terry sweatband, I swapped it out for the Bauer one I use. Unfortunately I've only got to use it twice so far, but it's very light, and the 2 shots I've taken I haven't heard or felt a thing. Sight lines are really good, good airflow too. Cool Runnings
Thanks, and it's there a big difference between the beige ''Rubatex'' or black foam for the inside? I measured my Eddy chin from top of opening down to bottom of chin and it's 9", apparently that's a long chin? @2padstack Edited November 27 by Cool Runnings
2padstack
I'm not sure about the rubatex type foam, but the black foam is comfortable. My Hackva was 8.25" for that measurement, which he matched up exactly on mine.

I didn’t see a mention of a fleury mold on the website so I’m just curious.

Some images of the shell I found online And this one - not sure if this is actually a PTS since it has a different paintjob than what Michel sent me:
35RoloSmith41
does it matter which shell you go for? or is it just for the look?
ZeroGravitas
30 minutes ago, 35RoloSmith41 said: does it matter which shell you go for? or is it just for the look? Some of the shells are markedly different (Roy vs. Belfour/Potvin vs Standard - Theodore, Giguere, Lalime, etc.) Based on the shell pictures I posted, it looks like the Fleury falls into the "standard" category so the basic shell shape is probably the same as everything else, it's just based on Fleury's head. It's really just to say that I have a Fleury shell, but if Michel says it won't fit my head, I won't get be getting it.
