  1. I don't think I'm totally alone in thinking this graphic was really cool, although simple, and was most of the time very well done. Today's pad graphics are really busy, these were simpler times. Feel free to share really awesome revoke sets or ones that missed the mark.

  2. Well I recall you said you were born in Campbell River. @Naz - good news - we can blame it on the Surrey (edit - general Vancouver) School system...

  5. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - Lefevre. One thing that was cool if you ordered the Pro Zone equipment was that you got a certificate of authenticity (read: a postcard) with your specs on the back. I've kept mine after all these years and scanned them just now. Makes you feel like a pro. I think they mistakenly included this invoice in my order, too. I whited out my name, address and the price - I paid retail so it was way more than the CDN prices that were listed here.

  6. @ZeroGravitas you are correct. These were the Premier style pad in-between the P3 and P4, basically the P3-LE as you stated. I think there may have been a few additional customization options from the P3. You are also correct in the last offering of Canadian-made Custom retail gear. Some more great looking sets!

  8. Lots of love for the Revokes. My first pad when I started on ice. Got my first set 8 or 9 years ago from Dukes ot was a 9800 I think, I knew nothing about goaltending but it was my dream. A year or 2 later I found these white ones, went crazy all over the internet to find a matching glove and blocker lol. The good old days, and after that the obsession of gear started but I'm keeping it under control, I think.

  10. From washing and cleaning, I'm unhappy for someone who in the past has used some heavy cleaner on this Simmons. The Ts lip is full cracks in Jenpro surface. Damn I'm so short of Jenpro I should've replaced the lip part. But as of now, it's only sewn back in a little modofication, remains to be seen how this will work. I'll get a bit deeper into this T project later.

  11. I have a few thoughts on this subject. The first one, and it's probably more a pre-concieved notion more than reality based, is that a "game ready" glove in my mind also means that it will be less durable, break down faster, and need to be replaced sooner. Second one - I have a certain way I like a glove to be shaped once I have broken it in. Not EXACTLY finger curl, but a definite curve at the finger tips. Picture any of Ron Hextall's gloves (yes, I'm an old fart). This allows me to grip/hold the stick very well when playing the puck. Now, to contradict the fact I believe you should

  13. For those of you wondering, Warrior is still producing. I just received my set of G5's that I ordered about 6 weeks ago! Here are some pictures, next to my set of G4's that they will be replacing. The blocker board is flatter, the glove has an insert to tilt the hand a bit. The pads are extra-stiff in the thigh, and the same size as my set of G4's (36+2). I think I'll really like the beveled cut on the back corner of the landing stack. Not sure when I'll be able to take them out for a spin, but hope to do a review when possible. Meanwhile, if there's any area where folks want to see more pictu
