  1. Everyone has slumps! As someone who tries to stay "competitive" in both hockey and golf, plus family, work, etc there are just going to be moments or stretches when we all stink. 2-4 weeks away from the rink and maybe sub in for a lower level game than you are used too? Might be a good confidence booster.

Maybe just play 1-2 times a week and skip the shinny skates? Sometimes less is more!

True's wait times usually skyrocket around when guys are getting ready to get back to training before camps. This is probably the slow season for Pro orders.

    Agree with this

OK, and how significant is the difference in thickness between both models?

Major. I think the original model is too thin and provies no impact protection. The Pro version is probably 2X the thickness of the 3DO. It's designed to take a pro level shot and do as best as possible given the limited real estate  you have to pad a neck

@TheGoalNet Looking at the Pro, I don't care for the extra rise at the shoulders. My Maltese is neck and front protection mostly. Is the front padding on the regular goalie one the same thickness as on the Pro one? And would the neck foam of the Pro fit in the regular one's sleeve? If so, are parts available?

Lastly, since it's recommended to remove the foams for washing, since I simply rinse my Maltese under cold water after every game and hang to dry, can I just do the same with the Aegis?

No, extra parts are not available. This is a BNQ certified device. Has to be sold as a unit.

Yes, you could rinse it like the maltese. The purpose of removing the pads is to enable the nth degree of cleaning. If you are happy with a rinse, treat it like any other neck guard.

    Brutal.

You liked the Supreme gear more than the Vapour gear anyways right?

Correct. The reality is that I would have probably tested the Vapor to help create content and then went back to the Supreme, unless something on HL2 blew my mind. I did order that set extremely close to Supreme pads though, haha, so those coulda worked better... we will never know.

But it's a classic pick and choose your battles. Something happened in the background, I am a Supreme guy typically, and proud to work with Bauer. It's cool we skipped a release and I look forward to the Shadow!

Pretty close to stock then aside from a few changes. No digiprint this time around?

No. The graphic on my Mach pads was meant to be the TGN Graphic for all future Bauer orders. I had a HL2 order in and the gear never arrived, I decided not to do anything which could complicate the order...

  7. Sorry... I want to inside the Shadow blocker. I believe the backhand of the internal glove is different. I Cannot find a pic, but was hoping someone else had it

  8. Hi All, Aegis "soft launched" this product. First time in this particular product category. They wanted to enter it conservatively. Good news? they've nearly sold out of the current units.

If anyone has been using them and wants to share some additional long term feedback, please let me know and respond below.

If you were thinking about getting one, now might be the time. Could be sold out / back-ordered for a bit.

Interesting. The opposite of most brands where the aggressive curve comes with a softer build.

You may not vocalize it often, but I know deep down you agree with 95% of the nonsense I spew.

In the sense that it's nonsense and doesn't need to mean anything, yes I probably might agree

    Beauty set.

I csnt stand guys that mix colour with the classic tan look.

So a full tan set is always a thumbs up from me.

There, I agree with you. We can all retire now!
