    Oil Spill

The longer this goes on the closer we get to two things: Draistl and Mcdavid in another uniform OR Oilers overpaying for a proven commodity like Hellebuck, Bobrovsky or Saros (while those teams eat cap hits for good assets.) I love bob, and feel like he's gotten a bad shake in florida with his usage and three coaches in three years- but if they can get great stuff for him they should move on and give the net to Stolarz and Knight
  4. I love this mask, but when I see this all I see is "Little Big Planet" on PS3. I can't unsee it. IYKYK
  5. I've started using these. Has anyone noticed the eyelets "stretching"?
  6. Dude, this is incredible.
  7. Does anyone use a Hi-Lo Chassis on converted skates? I recently made a change to get a taller wheel, and this weekend I felt like I was "Slipping on a Banana Peel", even fell about 6 or 8 times backward. I previously used the Tour goalie skates with a 59MM 5 wheel chasis. This weekend I was in a Mission Hi-Low Chassis on a Cowlingless Bauer Skate, 72MM across (couldnt find 68mm on short notice for a tournament). How should I choose the wheels? 68MM, 68MM, 68MM, 68MM (I have this setup outdoors and slip out too) 72mm, 72mm, 72mm, 72mm (I liked the height indoors for mobility) 68MM, 68mm, 72mm, 72mm - Using the hi-lo chassis, im afraid going to one size wheel might be the reason, the 3rd wheel only touches with my weight in. Lookign for suggestions after 15 years in the 47mm/59mm hell.
  8. Man, thats awesome. I broke my skates once when I was younger... Dad left to get me new wheels but never came back. Kudos to you.
  9. If i remember correctly, wasn't it Roloson and Tim Thomas who made Warrior rethink making pro gear because of how picky they are- and then the advertising fees put the nails in that coffin
  10. Curious, had anyone ever attached the foam directly to the shell without the brackets?
  11. He guys, has anyone foamed a sk2000 without the harness system? I really don’t like the way the foam is out into these helmets and would like a way to foam it like a cute T player helmet / goalie helmet where the foam is stuck to the shell directly. Where does everyone get their supplies for them? Thanks!
  12. I think the ESPN or TNT feeds are blacked out in NY, where you can only watch the local feeds. Pretty much its destroying the ratings not having all the Rangers fans not watching the National Telecast while Florida and other states do.
  13. From what I remember too- someone said last year there were no blackout rules for games in local markets. Now there are blackout rules. Major markets that drive ratings are not included anymore. NY, PIt, Phi, Bos.
  14. Skills competition was empty, not alot of fans in the seats. It sucked IN the arena. 5 mins of action then 30 mins of sitting. Alot of people left an hour in when they realized it sucked. I was in Bettmans section apparently. Really really bad and too many corporate sponsored tickets. One section was all jackass businessmen in checkered blue shirts. The all star game was packed, but they had ALOT of things going on in the concourses. Jameson bars, food, merchandising and LONG MENS bathroom lines. There was also a large outdoor bar as well. All of those looked packed between "games" and even during from what friends said. Problem was, the fans were in the seats. The free tickets to sponsors were too busy in the other areas. I sat in seats in the lower bowl until midway through period 2... at that point the seats owner actually showed up.
  15. That kid is STRONG! I don't think i've ever done that.
  16. I'd love to see what he ends up with in florida.
  17. That looks like a great place to put a third MLB team in the NY/NJ area. Now that I think about it, weren't the Florida Marlins exploring this exact site in 2001/2002 when MLB was exploring contraction and the team exploring moving?
  18. The general assumption is that's what everyone assumed would happen post covid. Less seats, more of an emphasis on TV angles and views, and squeeze the seats in where they can make money but ensure the TV rights deals are favored.
  19. Looks like his blackhawks mask but I wonder if he painted over the feathers and then put the wild logo on. Hopefully the beautiful mask is intact under it. the flowers were on the mask he had a tribal artist do
  20. Anyone got a closer look at what he did to his helmet?
  21. With the rules as you stated, you might be able to use Rollerflys and attach them permanently to the insides of goalie pads. I know peoole who have done away with the straps tha thold them in place, and replaced it with Velcro.
  22. Warrior is adding a plastic slide plate to their pads on the g6 line.... for all intents and purposes, that should absolve any issues about "foreign substances" on pads. For Baseball, the rules are because of physics. A ball with a intentional nick, scuff, or spit dances when being thrown... as in it doesn't follow a traditional route to the plate. It goes up, down, spins differently and can go from 12 to 6 across the plate with a 10 inch drop in the last few feet. A corked bat allows the ball to travel farther once it makes impact because the wood acts like a spring and allows it to go 20-35 feet farther. Difference between a out a few feet from the wall or three rows deep. 3M slide tape doesn't do anything to the puck, or the ice. It just makes the surface smoother to mimic fresh ice. Every period or game starts with that, this just ensures it lasts a little longer. For what it's worth, I want the crappiest ice possible. I hate sliding, coming from roller it destroys my hips and knees. If I can drag a 8 foot by 8 foot slab of concrete on the ice with me I'd do it.
  23. In that case please don't look at my skates.
