The graphic is growing on me each time I see it. I think the first time I said “wow I really like this graphic” was when the @TheGoalNet posted the video of the Austrian goalie in his butterfly. It might be the best looking graphic in that position, and looks like in certain color ways could play some eye tricks on players. Not completely sold yet on the fade-away color zone yet, especially in red. I think someone else pointed out it looks like a pad that’s rubbed up against the post, but that could just be because of the white base.

So is the “offshore pro dpt” going to be making pads just for the pros or all pro models? I could tell watching the game that Daws had the stitch going up the calf wing and the different knee cradle, something only on the Lefebre made pads. This was my biggest gripe with CCM, and to be honest it is pretty embarrassing how different the Lefebre made pads differed from the pro pads available to consumers. Literally not one CCM item that the pros wear is available to us, custom or otherwise.

BAN IT .... don't get me wrong it takes a lot of talent to be able to pull it off in game, and its quite entertaining. BUT from a safety perspective how is the NHL letting sticks flying that close to a goalies head, Hellebuyck almost gets a stick from Svechnikov and his own player.

So after shopping for a goalie mask I've come to a stand still. I know @TheGoalNet said earlier in this thread that sportmask and protechsport are the best mask on a budget. However up here in Canada the new sportmask Pro3i is 950$ and bauers 960 and VTX are 999$, so the difference is negligible. Are Bauers masks that much better than a sportmask? or is sportmask better than Bauer? I keep hearing mixed reviews as to which one is better. Hopefully someone can give their input.

Really interested once the specs come out on these pads. I think is safe to say the rebounds off the blocker and pads are going to be HOT since it looks like they're eyeing down Bauer, and thats just where the trend is going. No one mentioned the pants in the corner of the second picture which seem to feature some accordion style hip protection.
