  1. Been in CCM Pro's for about 9 years now. Love them. Will need to replace soon and dreading it!!!
  2. I noticed the EcoPro Neck Guards are no longer on the goalieparts website. Anyone know if they have they stopped making them or just out of stock?
  3. Of course, will do it when i get home from work!!
  4. Everything's expensive over here in the UK!! Unless i wanted some basic Warrior/Bauer's that i have tried and dont like then its importing from overseas for me. But yes, they are pretty pricy.
  5. To be honest, taking the shell off would make them just like an ortho knee brace (yes there is a small amount of padding on other parts of the pad than the shell). If i was to take the shell off, the PAW's would be way more protective that the RXS.
  6. Really easy. 2 or 3 emails to Sven and it was all sorted.
  7. Ordered these from Sven at RXS on 21st January and arrived today in the UK. Coming from the PAW knee pads I was worried they’d be too bulky but after watching Dustin Smith’s (Bonsey’s) YouTube video I thought I’d take the risk. Having tried them on (off ice) they definitely don’t feel to bulky and they fit in the knee cradle of my G5’s well. Sizing wise they are a medium - the measurements I gave Sven were 33.5cm, 12cm below the knee and 43cm, 12cm above the knee. Quality wise they look top notch and not a stitch out of place. Will obviously be able to update the more I wear. Will get a chance to get them on the ice on Friday. Will update on protection when I get hit! Any questions or further photos, let me know.
  8. I have quite a few wear spots appearing pretty quickly and growing (albeit slowly). Disappointing considering the Passau's I replaced didn't show much wear at all. I did think the Optik 2 would be closer, but i had a set of G-Netiks when they originally came out and got on good with them!
  9. Currently in a set of Warrior G5's and looking at a set of Brians. Happy enough with the G5's, just finding the durability lacking. Anyone moved from G5's to Brians? Would the G-Netik V play more like the Warriors or would the Optik 2 be a closer match?
  10. This is how i did mine:
  11. Based on that, i'd think changing the steel is a no-go? Just need to run with the steel i have or get new skates!? They are over 5 years old so they've had a decent run!
  12. In a simmilar vein as the chipping..... My skates seems to have quite a bit of chipping/cracking at the blade holder bit. Now they are VH skates and are about 5 years old so not a warranty claim or anything like that. Looking to/thinking about replacing the steel. Will the internals of the blade holder crumble away when i take the current baldes out or is there no reason to be concerned? Any one else's skates had this happen?
  13. No relegation this year so no need to worry!!
  14. Think its the 21 model, Performance upgrade. Looking forward to it. The sticks fitting were my only concern, so thanks to you and slade037 - confident i'll be fine!!
  15. Getting a Tesla Model 3 as a work car, do you fold down one of the back seats to fit your sticks in it?
  16. Had/have Passau Axioms that have seen 5 or 6 years of pretty decent use (probably on the ice 2/3 times a week on average) and have shown very little signs of wear when it comes to things like wear holes in the Jenpro for example. I take good care of my stuff but still has shown less wear than others i have had. Can't comment on the newer line/last few years but my experience of Passau's durability has been very good.
  17. I'd used the Eagle bag (40 x 24 x 20") for about 10 years (even moved countries with it) and it developed a few cuts and a couple of wear holes. It was great, could throw everything in with realtive ease - 34+2 pads, L CCM pants, M Brown 2400CA, Mask, Glove and blocker, skates, sweats etc Got a True bag (40 x 20 x 20") - Its a very, very tight fit compared to the Eagle. When its late and im tired after a skate, the last thing i want is to play a giant game of tetris with my bag and have to force it to zip up. Most bags are aound the 40 x 20 x 20" dimensions (some have 1 side thats 22") Cant find anywhere to order the Eagle bag!
  18. I never thought about the Oilers until someone on Warriors Instagram post mentioned it!! I dont even like the Oilers!!! Always loved Orange and Blue and its kind of based of Edinburgh Rugby colours:
  19. What is your floor to knee and what size did you order? Mine is 20" which is the lower end of 32", are we sure the Leferve size chart allows for the chunky/flat boot?
  20. How often did you use the Leferve's? (if at all) Any initial impressions, other than the sizing?
  21. Its hidden in the customizer! Appreciate all orders with them are custom but a sizing chart more public on their website would definitely help! I have been mulling over a pair and spoke to a dealer and specifically mentioned the flat boot making the pad sit higher. Im a 34" in most pads, but worried a 32" in Leferve may even be to big! (never worn CCM/Reebok before to compare to them)

Not a great graphic but might look better in different colour ways. Not sure what the slanted indent on the middle knee roll is for. GGN on instagram has indicated they know more anout them than they are allowed to say just now. Be interesting to hear more about any new additions to them.
