Calf strapping is all new on the G7. G6 iteration was not good. It had a hard, plastic like, outer calf wrap that was situated on the far outside of the pad. The changes on the G7 were very welcome. Calf pillow is bigger than the Hyperlite 1 too. Good thing it's removable. Nice set.

That's all eh? That exposed foam was present on the G6 line as well. It was also seen on the glove backside finger protection and the inside of the calf wrap on the G6. Odd choice to not at least cover it up.

I moved out of my GT2 set for a reason lol. Reattaching the glove liner is easier than the palm. Palm is always such a pain.

So it looks almost like they did a horizontal strap to the lower ROM attachment point on the Mach. @seagoal was first lol

Only the stiffness and the calf wrap can be modified. You'll still have a square toe and flatter leg channel GT line is dead, it's time to move on.

Just get a custom G7 with a soft knee and medium thighrise. Should be relatively close.

The lack of texturing was a bit of a give away yea. Though, I can get a set that looks about 99% the same minus one back hand portion from the default customizer. He must really like the flat Mach graphic.

Reduced cuff makes the new Warrior pocket massive. Plus the Hyperlite pocket isn't that big. Had to use two pics because I don't have a direct side by side, but you can see the difference in pocket size of the Hyperlite vs my black G5, and then my white G5 compared to G6. Also, removable palms on the X.1 line hasn't been a thing since the very, very beginning of the G6 release. They ran into production issues and removed that custom option entirely. That continues on the G7 lines.

I'm just happy the NHL can stop "Weekend at Bernie's"-ing this Franchise.
