  1. Sounds like you’re not out in the boonies either so you are at least upping some probabilities in there somewhere (math). But also means it’ll feel like there’s more to weed out.
  2. Perfection. @seagoal has to see this (if he hasn’t already).
  3. Glad you found something suitable for you @bsuge04 and... welcome to the board - glad you took the plunge to post.
  4. Truth @MTH. The populace in general is difficult to navigate. Just means the dating pool is also tough. I mean - if its hard to run into good folks out in the world in general - dating one of them is going to prove at least equally challenging. Good luck though - I have to believe that being a genuine person pays dividends eventually.
  5. @bsuge04 in my opinion both look to fit adequately so long as you aren't experiencing any pinch points. I might suggest you try both on with your chest protector as - to me - it looks like the CCM comes down further considerably both at the ears and on the chin drop and therefore might catch on things as you move.
  6. Question (probably mostly) for my European brethren… Anybody use Tradeinn.com with success? Says they are based in Spain and they have these liners in stock allegedly. Appreciate any intel that can be shared.
  7. Thanks @coopaloop1234. Had already ordered the blocker palm from Monkey but was hoping to get at least a(n extra) set of both. I've got three sets I rotate through on my old Warriors and it has really helped with longevity. Am interested in a 75 liner if you need to jettison it but won't hold you to anything. Not wishy washy either - if you've got it and it doesn't reek like cat piss - I'm in. Thanks for looking out.
  8. Folks - anybody got a bead on where liners for G6 gloves can be purchased? Looking for senior sized 75 degree trapper/large blocker. Hit all the usual suspects without much luck. Goalie Monkey was the most promising but only had intermediate trapper liners available. Seems I've had this problem before where searching for them proves troublesome (are they in gloves, are they accessories or... ). Thanks for any insight.
  9. I'm with @WillyGrips13 and others and while this is super useful content - I was ready to take a trip down Nostalgia Lane.
  10. @coopaloop1234 respectfully disagree. This is akin to dragging a pair of grapefruits around 24/7/365 with a confident smirk the whole while... and/or having all kinds of money to piss away. Respect. I always wanted to go bold on colors but my fickleness and the cost of such always became prohibitive. Now we can all live vicariously through @Wake42.
  11. @RichMan - I'll just chime in to say that - based on your photos - doesn't look to be ill fitting at all. In fact - looks to be on the money. All that said - it ain't my melon squeezed into it. Shape (mask and melon) can most definitely play a part in the "fit" of things. I have custom masks (meaning build to a mold taken off my face) but also wanted a "Jerry Wright"-esque shaped mask just to have because of its iconicness. By that time Jerry was no longer affiliated with Itech/Bauer and wasn't back into making them himself again so I bought a Fusion MMX based on circumference measurements. In theory the fit was good but in practice wearing it would pinch north of my temples to the point it'd give me a headache to wear it too long. All this to say - the more form fitting the better but not such that it is uncomfortable. Then you should size up and take up any newly created voids with additional foam (a "custom" foam fit). If you are coming from a well used Reidic it means you've been using it a hot minute so it might take a moment to break in the foams of any new mask for it to be "comfortable" to you but it should hopefully be obvious off the hop if its instead "uncomfortable". Hope all this rambling makes sense and is useful.
  12. I didn't want to jump anybody's shit but totally agree - at the very least - ought to know better if you frequent this board. "Hey - here's my wicked off book lid to match my wicked off book complete set. BUT - I'll just tease you about it by not putting them all together in one glorious money shot for you to gaze upon." EPIC fail.
  13. @The Teal Terror sooo - safe to say despite the grainier resolution - your set there is "teal" right? Looks good either way.
  14. For the record - I like it (and am not frequently in that camp with DaveArt masks). So what's the story with it though? Is it intended to be a Cujo homage?
  15. @RichMan - I remember. Was the name Sever? Remember seeing a few iterations of pads/gloves but never really any with the removable faces in place (and just a few trappers). Thanks for throwback Thursday.
  16. Like Quick's Vaughn kit. Don't care for the lid though.
  17. You might very well be right @keeperton - just tough to really confirm without scouring all the league's locker rooms since Kova doesn't pay to badge their stuff. That's all I was getting at in my response to the OP - don't think there is enough to go on to come up with true empirical data (like say gloves/pads).
  18. Some good suggestions about what is/is not a good neck guard in the above but I don't think any of them address the question posed at the start "what's the most popular in the show"? I think that's a tough one to pin down as I'm pretty sure most of what's worn there are highly modified legacy stuff that's morphed over the years (think Brodeur's chest protector or - in this particular instance - what Fleury wears as a bib).
  19. What's the lid @MTH - Mage? As a guy who's constantly trying to replicate the feel of his 7700 pillows - respect.
  20. Interesting that we sweat something like the additional weight of a leather strap or two but don't "sweat" a sweaty mop of hair that brings about both weight and drag moving one's head side to side. Clearly the answer to better goaltending is to shave your head. Its going to be the new velcro strap. I'm ahead of the curve with my receding hairline.
  21. @IpaddyTECH regarding your pancake argument - I definitely prefer a rounder shaped mitt (and also have not large hands as a 5' - 5"-ish individual) as opposed to the more baseball-y mitts. I'll throw out a suggestion - try to see if you can get your hands on/in a set of Warrior gloves. I've had no issues with mine. Was able to open close and scoop flat pucks off the ice from day one. Don't sleep on Warrior gloves (unless you are a hardcore Lefebvre junkie). Very snappy closure in my opinion.
  22. @IpaddyTECH welcome (back) to the (newest version of the old) board and back to keeping and its online world and thanks for the in depth review that is surely to be helpful to folks.
