  1. I must’ve scrolled past this one, I think the sizing really different for everyone. Depending on if you have shorter or longer legs.
  2. I'll try to get some pictures. The outer gusset does seem to be the part getting caught. I currently don't wear a set of suspenders as I wasn't sure that would make a huge difference, but I'd be interested in trying some. I believe my pants sit below the red line, they aren't very short.
  3. I switched from a pair of 32+1 Bauer 3s pros and my knee was completely off the block by at least a good 2 inches, so I don't think the pads are too big. So you think I should wear at least a small in the pants?
  4. The rebounds off the M5 blocker seem pretty hot to me.
  5. I meant to reply to this thread and then never got around to doing so. I apologize for the late response, I have not had any buyers remorse from going with the M5 gloves over the Mach. There is of course a difference in materials and everyone is subject to a random stinger every once and a while, but I haven't noticed any myself.
  6. Alright, so let me give you a little background here. I'm 5'10, 160lbs with a 32-33 size waist (I'm about 6'2 on skates if that even matters, I don't think it does but, wanted to mention it in case) and I have noticed a certain level of restriction in my senior medium Bauer goalie pants used with my 34+1 Bauer M5Pros (I know it's not the pads because the thigh rise sits perfectly on my legs and my knees land directly on the knee block). To describe the restriction further I mean when I get up from the VH, RVH and sometimes even the butterfly where my pads get caught under the pant leg. It has certainly got better over time as I have gotten used to them but I'm beginning to wonder if I've developed some kind of tolerance for this or if its completely normal for this to happen. Sorry if I'm a little long-winded here, this led me to the question, would I be able to wear a size small (meaning switching from a size medium to a size small) without sacrificing too much protection? If anyone could help me decide if this is a good idea, it would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I've been using the M5's for a couple months now and the durability seems to be pretty good. The material on the face of the pad (I'm not exactly sure what it's called) appears slightly dented looking after taking shots from pucks but, no real damage is done to the pads and it appears a similar thing happens with the Machs. To give you an idea of my schedule, I play A level travel hockey and practice 2-3 times a week with an average of 1-2 games on weekends, and no significant damage has been done to the pads at all in the time I've used them. I have the matching glove (I have yet to have a stinger in the glove) and blocker as well and they seem to have the type of build quality you'd expect from a second price point Bauer pad. I have no idea if the set will hold up long term but, as of now I can't see any reason I would need to switch due to durability issues.
  8. These have sold. Please lock or remove thread @SaveByRichter35
  9. I purchased these Eflex 3's off of SidelineSwap back in January. Since purchasing, I've decided to switch to Bauer. The pads still have a ton of life in them, as I only used them myself once. Size 34+1 Paid $567, Asking $320 plus shipping. SidelineSwap listing link: https://sidelineswap.com/gear/hockey/goalie/goalie-leg-pads/4864364-ccm-extreme-flex-iii-goalie-pads-senior-34-1 I am located in the Palm Coast, FL area. This is my first time listing something on the site, so let me know if I need to change anything @Chenner29 @SaveByRichter35
  10. My Small Bauer 3S Pros seem to slide pretty well and the rebounds that come off of them can be absolute rockets. I'm just speaking from my experience with the pads though.
  11. Thank you, a pad suitable for your style of play is essential, so I completely understand.
  12. Thank you for responding to each of my questions. Yes, I was referring to stingers with the blocker question.
  13. Also, one more question. Did the tune fit plus strap cause the pads to sit noticeably high above the skate?
  14. Thank you for providing an update on the pads after using them in game. The only two questions I have are "does the pad feel ridiculously stiff?" and "can you feel shots through the blocker?" the second one is more specific to the blocker, so I understand if you can't answer it.
  15. I'm not quite sure, though PureGoalie also makes it seem as if the exterior area of the pad is C.O.R.TECH plus. https://goalie.purehockey.com/product/bauer-supreme-m5-pro-goalie-leg-pads-senior/itm/47429-41/
  16. Does the pad seem ridiculously stiff in comparison to last years model?
  17. I'm not sure if there will be any performance demos available for these pads because of how Bauer is handling there marketing. They seem to be putting the Mach pads front and center for all the demos, general information, and customization. Which makes sense because it is one of their new primary products but, sucks nonetheless.
  18. It really does suck and from what I know, the M5 pros can't be customized.
  19. Hopefully you hear back soon because I can't seem to find anything about the M5 trapper palm online.
