  1. How does it compare to the GT/2 for people with a narrow butterfly (like me)? I think the most important part for a narrow butterfly is the overall shape of the pads, no? Like more S-curvy is better for narrow butterflies? Or is that some very basic/wrong thinking?
  2. Thanks @ArdeFIN for your detailed pictures. What I did now was: - remove the inner belt - tie the laces from the pants to the loop on the chesty (I like you solution though! Much faster than pulling the lace through the loop every time) - suspender over the chestie Have played like this for a few weeks now and I like it much better than untucked. Feels closer to my body and I feel like I'm much more mobile.
  3. So @Nohtaram what's your solution? I came here to ask exactly the same. It's only the flap that is interfering. I also have the older Ritual pants like you. Using the inner belt. I feel like I would need to remove the inner belt, but then I should use suspenders to keep my pants up. And I'm not a big fan of suspenders over a chestie (I used suspenders before, when I wore my chestie over the pants instead of inside, and I had the suspenders under my chestie).

    Warrior G5

I think with all social media nowadays, even having someone play in unbranded gear would be major advertising. Imagine everyone online discussing what gear someone is using. The name "Warrior" would come up pretty fast. Anyway, I love you guys putting all the resources into making nice gear for us non-NHL tenders. On my team I was the first goalie using Warrior gear (even had to buy it in Germany because Warrior does not get sold in my country). 3 years later and I know 4 goalies who switched to Warrior pads because they tried out mine. Back on topic: the new gear is looking great as always! A real shame you make quality gear as there's no reason at all to change my GT2 pads, G3 blocker and GT chestie so soon... It's still all in mint condition.
  5. And yes, I do know there's a break there, but when I got those pads it was almost impossible to get a little curve there (velcro from the profile lock always going back to the "straight" position). Now it's just an automatic door opening when it gets hit by a puck.
  6. Here are two videos from my thigh rise. Mind you I’m not using any force to do this. I just don’t think this is the way it should be.
  7. Interesting to see your floppy issue. How do you think the new material in the GT2 will hold up compared to the GT1? I’m having the same issue with my G3 but it seems much worse than on your video. Without much effort I can bend the thigh rise 90 degrees. Im playing with those pads for a little over two years now, 4 times a week on average. I remember when I first got them they were super stiff. Now they’re just floppy. The last couple of weeks I had a couple of shots where my stick wasn’t in front of the five hole, the puck hit the thigh rise and it just opened like a revolving door. I’m thinking about buying new pads and switching from the G3 to the GT2, as I don’t have a super wide butterfly and the design of the GT will be the better choice. Am I thinking right or not @Kirk3190?

    R GT/2

So irritating that we don't have any try-out days, or are spoiled with hockey shops over here. Warrior doesn't even get sold in Belgium. The only option I have to try the new glove is order it online somewhere... I'm super interested in how I would like this glove. I have a G3 now with a 60 degree liner and I wonder how it compares to the new GT2.
  9. That's what I did. I was also in the market for matte white with white straps, but the white straps are kind of yellowish, so I figured I probably wouldn't like that.
  10. Hah yeah the wait is really long. When I ordered mine it was 4 months. After 2 months Michel mailed me apologizing it would take 2 months extra because of unforseen events, so that made it a six month wait. As soon as I got a shipping confirmation, I sold my plastic CCM7000. Shipping from Canada to Belgium took 2 days. Then it sat at the customs office for 3 (!) weeks, which left me 3 weeks without mask and no backup masks available... Lesson learned: never sell your old stuff before the new stuff has arrived.
  11. I've got a protechsport mask as well. The hardest thing was asking my wife to make a mold of my head which resulted in eye rolling and her saying "this hobby of yours is getting out of hand"
