  1. Thank you, didn't expect it to be one of my favorite hockey purchases but it's definitely up there! Unfortunately the zippers are rather cheap, but the whole thing is super easy to move and you can change the layout. Been through probably 20 iterations of gear organization and happy to land on this one. Bonus points if you have an SO that doesn't want to see goalie gear in the house, it hides it away nicely!
  2. Here is my drying setup, fairly cheap and space saving. Bought a "portable wardrobe" from Amazon for about $70 and my gear is dry within about 6 hours. Have a small fan and dehumidifier on the right hand shelves, so I can zip up the front and the air will circulate inside. Use a regular boot dryer from a sporting goods store for my skates and gloves. I do use a 70/30 mix of iso alcohol and water, but find that I only need to use it about once a month as drying the gear like this prevents any smell.
  3. I'm not too familiar with older pads, but Brown Hockey offers some different styles. I believe they are willing to modify any of their lines but unsure to what extent. Maybe worth shooting them an email? https://www.brownhockey.com/leg-pads
  4. Hello everyone, I was curious if anyone here has ordered a mask from goalieparts/Otny recently, and what the wait time was. I ordered a CC Eco Pro in early November and have not received any information about it besides the order confirmation. I did call the goalieparts store to check if there was a backlog or delay and was told the current wait time is 12-14 weeks; however, I am just shy of 17 weeks. I would guess there were delays with the holidays, which is perfectly okay, but I am slightly disappointed in the lack of communication. This is not meant to bash anyone, mainly just looking to get a ballpark based on other orders at the moment! Edit: Quick update if anyone finds this thread in the future - 22 weeks. Fair warning, the only way I reached anyone was over the phone. I had reached out through the website inquiry, email, facebook messenger, and instagram DM to try to get in contact with someone, all remain unresponsive.
  5. Sorry to defer away from the glove discussion, but does anyone have an idea if we should expect a '24 release of konekt skates? I'm stuck in size 5 and not super geeked on the look of HF2, debating if I should stick with my ultrasonics. (I know this is the 2023 thread, forgive me if this shouldn't be posted here!)
  6. Sort of, the stripes were inspired by Justin Ferguson's Dartmouth mask; although I can't remember who the original artist was on that. I drew a rough sketch of what I wanted and emailed it to them, and they put it all together to make the real design.
  7. I had my mask wrapped by Mask Wraps in Mississauga, ON. Really nice to work with and was able to accommodate having it dropped off, wrapped, and picked up within the same day. I've only had it for about 2 weeks, but there are absolutely no air bubbles or areas peeling up yet. Around the edges there is a clear edge that goes along the inside of the mask, I assume to prevent any peeling. It's one large piece that wraps around the chin and up both sides, the only separate piece being the black stripe on the top. It was about $350 CAD for a full wrap including the backplate. The only flaw is that the 2 red stripes on the side don't line up on the center, but it's so minor that I'm probably the only one who notices/cares.
