  1. I was actually making a joke Though I will say this: a flumpy butterfly option would be good. The R/GT was the flumpiest option from Warrior.
  2. Yessir! Gut trap isn’t bad on the 1X; just from the mid-torso up, it is a bit less than abysmal since I de-flubbered the shoulder floaters. The Flumpmeister 3000 (the project) should have nothing get away from me, and then I incorporate these improvements into the 1X.
  3. I do have a RBK P2 that was NOS. Dennis Dombrowski fortified the body. It is a tank. I like it, but not as much as the 1X.
  4. I used to play with and against a former female pro who carried the puck lacrosse-like on the blade, about 2-3” off the ice. She was an incredible puck handler, and she’d fling the puck into the goal for one of her trick shots. Of course she would piss off the 30-somethings who thought they were passed over for the National and they would try to hit her, which she would be even more slippery and make them look like idiots. I was in lurve
  5. I will commission four air bags (two pair) from my local seamstress (with my materials) for both the flumpy chestie and my 1X. These will go behind the shoulder floaters to help with absorbing energy. My goal is to make certain that if that puck goes anywhere near my torso, it will not bounce off of me. I don’t care one bit about it flying off of my arms as those pucks will go to a corner. Pucks off the torso can lead to trouble. I can concede pucks being bounced from the shin or boot. Hot rebounds from the blocker are welcome. But off of the body? Hell no.
  6. I know that making air pillows for behind the shoulder floaters (along with the softer foam) will greatly displace impact. This is more of an exercise than anything, as the chesty that has the full time job is my 1X. I will likely experiment and incorporate mods onto the 1X. It is my fave hands down, especially after a few mods I have performed on it. This flumpmeister will be a back up chesty for the most part, and be used in games that I know that my D will be pylons.

  8. Is there a super flumpy option?
  9. Agreed 100%. I have actually grown tired of a few minutes of NHL OTF for the betting lines. Just yucky. But it just seems that this has become a lot of the focus as of late.
  10. I will make two flumpy pillows to go behind the shoulder floaters or could put some memory foam in the floaters for pure, unadulterated flump.
  11. I hope that the puck gets lost in the flump.
  12. We’ll see how my ultra flumpified (save for the arms) Vaughn does. But I appreciate you looking out for me, of friend in flumpiness.
  13. You understood correctly. Do I like it? No, but it would make for better gambling without doing anything else to the net or the goalie equipment, as the proposals that were coming out were making gloves dangerous. With current materials and the ever evolving player stick construction, they are essentially at the peak of size/protection that they can do, save for decreasing pad width to intermediate size (10.5”).
  14. I certainly will concur that fighting will eventually go away. But for so many, it is a means to rev up the fans. It’s something that is slowly leaving the game.
  15. Another thought expanding upon popularity in hockey: Bettman knows that completely eliminating fights would alienate both current fans and potential fans that like the fights, but also eliminates another side bet possibility. Also, making more penalties makes for more power play potential, increasing scoring.
  16. Lower end Vaughn L80, with an air chest pad backing, followed by stuffing the heart guard with more flumpy goodness
  17. At first blush, they do look backwards. I was going to have a set made to have the “outer” rolls on the knee side. Really gamesmanship to make me look like a total newbie
  18. I want flumpiness. As flumpy as my favourite blanket or hoodie.
  19. I knew a woman who hated American Football, but loved gambling on it because of the points spreads, etc. She made lots of money gambling on American Football.
