  1. I was googling for something and this site came up in the results
  2. When I was in San Diego, I just used a simple tree made of PVC pipes with a box fan in front of it. Worked well. But when I moved to Washington in 2022 I was finding that in the winter it was cold enough that my gear would never really dry, it would just freeze. And that both sucked to put on the next time, and made it stinky. Bit the bullet and got a Rocket Dryer. Specifically, the mid-size "stall" model. Worth absolutely every penny. Dry in a couple hours in the middle of winter, even less smell than I used to get drying it on the rack in SoCal, and will usually go out about an hour before I leave and turn it on so everything is nice and warm when putting it on in the room. It's not exactly "portable", though I have taken it down to bring to a tournament in Seattle once. It does have a bag to put all the parts in, but I definitely would not want to be taking it down very often. Was really nice having it in the hotel room, though.
  3. My wife is getting my Model 3 and I'm getting a Model Y. That one should actually be able to fit my bag!
  4. Dude, is Passau cursed?? I also had to wait to play in my new gear forever due to a broken ankle. Just hope that you don't develop a blood clot like I did
  5. Pretty much all modern skates are designed to be baked. Baking is no longer something you CAN do and is more of something you’re SUPPOSED to do. Bake them at home. Follow the instructions VH posted on YouTube a while back.
  6. Is the tan clarino new? I think grey was the only option when I ordered.
  7. For sure man. I use that stuff on mine too. Stock grips are never enough for me. I didn’t like the amount of vibration of the CR1 but it was less noticeable on the V1 Pro+ for sure. I’d still have to get used to the pingyness of the paddle but that’s just an adjustment. With the CR1 I figured I could probably get used to the vibration and pingyness but at 3x the price it seemed silly to not just use what I liked. I’ll definitely be getting some V1 though, eventually.
  8. Well, "switching to a composite" has nothing to do with the conversation in this case. But regardless, yes having it look the way I want is a part of it. I didn't order my Passau sticks either, until they had the outlined logo. I am a huge fan of Warrior foam core goal sticks and while the CR1 composite didn't do it for me, when I used the V1 Pro+ 3-4 months ago it was so light that it was worth getting used to the pingyness of composites. But, I don't need a new stick. I still have one Passau that has never been taped and the other two are still going strong. I guess what I should have said was "not having an outline on the logo is keeping me from being so enthralled with it that i make an impulse buy for something I don't need", maybe? Also, steep shoulders isn't really what I'm looking for. Northstar is the only company that makes the paddle shape I want. This is exactly what I'd be getting if I decided to buy some.
  9. No kidding. I'm going to buy a cheap CR3 or something to try to cut my own grip into it. Not even for fear of ruining a stick, but also because if I'm cutting a custom grip then I need to order a longer paddle. With a standard paddle I'm a 26" but with the custom grip it would be a 27.5. I'm just not sure if I have the skill to do it. I assume a dremel would take care of it pretty easily.
  10. If I could get outlines on the logo I'd order right now. Like this:
  11. Man, what a bummer. I'd never had anything but a good experience with them. Though, I'd only ever ordered HAL straps, their Pro Bridge kit, and their jock (which is still by far the best jock I've ever seen or owned). So shady. If the guy wanted to continue doing business as a dude in his basement, then have at it (and update your stock on the website accordingly), but fucking over customers and employees is just sad. The lack of tax registration is unbelievable. I'm not going to say "fuck Monster" because again they have always been good to me, but certainly there will be plenty of that from everyone else to make up for it
  12. Are people switching away from leather straps because of weight? I always assumed it was because of the substantial performance benefit.
  13. $1500 USD for a full set of custom gear. I think I may need to jump on this.
  14. Seems okay here, but it should redirect to https automatically and isn't.
  15. Definitely. I wouldn’t buy anything domestic, with the exception of Tesla.
  16. I have one of those but have never worn it. It’s way too big. Unfortunately a jock is something people don’t want to buy even if it’s never been used.
  17. Our Volvo has massaging seats, and I don't mean just vibrating. Actual massage functions. Also heat AND cooling functions. Amazing. We don't have any BMWs or Mercedes anymore, we got rid of both of them already. Kind of miss my 135i but the Tesla makes me not miss it so much.
  18. At one point I had a 2006 Volvo XC90 that was just used for hockey and IKEA trips lol. After I got my Tesla, we traded in that car and our i3 for a 2018 Volvo XC60.
  19. Probably, according to some on here. The question is... do you care? I personally wouldn't.
