  1. A bit of pad wrap for Winterfest. Same stick as last year (Sherwood GS350 SE, and it's garbage) with some vinyl decals, and also the mask I painted myself (poorly) with some vinyl as well.
  2. Good lord. I used to get a $20 in a card from my grandparents. I was lucky to see $300 worth of stuff from my entire family combined!
  3. I actually ordered mine without any graphics. No reason other than I just didn't want anything but a plain black jock. Absolutely love mine. By far the most comfortable and protective jock I've seen on the market. The adjustability options set it above everything else. There isn't a lot of things Monster is doing better than others at this point, now that everyone and their dog have their own HAL straps, but the jock is one of them.
  4. That's a new bike, too. I was more talking about CCM's origins: Founded in 1899 and then:

I actually liked the way this looked. Apparently he did, too, when it came time for him to get an actual paint job:
  6. There's a lot more youth and beer league goalies out there than there are NHL goalies. I'm sure Passau is doing just fine without the NHL.
  7. Not yet! I’m now debating retro vs red/black/white.
  8. I know about the real leather but definitely not for me. I bet they could print any shade they want but I’m not sure how efficient it would be to make every single piece from printed jenpro.
  9. Tim, do you guys have more than one shade of "retro" jenpro? From google searches I can't tell if you have multiple shades or whether it's just the lighting is different. Part of me wants a retro set but I prefer a slightly more brown (a bit less 'butterscotch') shade than what's shown here.
  10. I can't wait. I'll be first in line once they're out!
  11. Happy to report that my GRIT bag survived multiple flights recently. Wasn't sure how the internal structure would hold up but it was fine. Having it hold my pads and sticks too while rolling through the airport was a lifesaver!
  12. I've never done the stretching out. I always see photos of gloves with something jammed in there. I never saw the need. Closing it on the other hand... well... my glove has maltese in it, which makes it MUCH harder to get a good break. I ended up using a clamp right on the break after every skate thanks to the advice from Tim at Passau. Worked like a charm.
  13. Agreed with all of the above. And with the 37.5 they stay pretty cool in comparison to something like sham which I think are just and I find to be WAY too hot anyway. I really love the Monster kewl bands because they work exactly as advertised, but I find they only work for a while. They start to get kind of gummy and it seems like washing them makes them lose their cooling properties. I picked up the 37.5 on a whim (because they're 37.5 which kind of makes it a no-brainer) and was shocked how good they were.
  14. Or spend $400-500 on one that will last just as long.
  15. I'm not sure what that has to do with how much it costs, but sure. That's significantly better.
  16. I used to ask my wife and she'd occasionally go but I don't even bother anymore. Usually it's a "no thanks you guys are boring" kind of answer.
  17. Mine was at an event for the biggest hockey gear site on the interwebs so we usually have photographers at the events. However, the site owner has become obsessed with making videos and taking photos so he does it all himself now.
