  1. Hi all, For sale is my full set of custom Bauer Machs. I received these in May 2022 and used them approximately twice a week until I got my Axis 2 set in September 2022. I approximate the number of uses at 30. Definitely not more than 40 skates. Gear is in excellent shape. Leg pads still have some of that new gear smell to them. Catcher is still not 100% broken in. Pictures were taken minutes before this post. No rips or tears on any pieces of the gear, but there is some minor fraying on the triangular jenpro piece at the boot. Feel free to ask for additional pictures and I will get them to you post-haste. These are are SR Small, which is Bauer's 33". It fits slightly smaller than my Axis 2 - also a 33". Great pads. Superior to my Axis 2 in nearly every respect - hardness and consistency of rebounds and comfort. But the weave on my AX2 set seems to slide better than base SLIDER skin that these come with. But the real reason is that I cannot quit the 580 catcher that I have with AX2. Looking for $1,600 shipped USD CONUS from California. Will post these pads at a higher price on SLS in a couple days. I want to give forum members here first shot. Crippling detail about specs located in this post:
  2. I threw this together and I think it's accurate. I skipped Brian's because I'm not too good with Brian's product and their release schedule is different. Head over to https://www.thegoalnet.com/files/category/1-files/ We try to upload catalogs as we find them. I think I have some older ones that have not been uploaded. Let me know what you're looking for and I can see if I have it.
  3. Hopefully it has more color zones than past Bauer pads. It looks like it might be just the two Orange and White zones (+ the multitude of spears - but I'm not counting those).
  4. For sale: Bauer Pro Goalie Pants Size SR Small Black Brand new with tags, never used. $275 USD shipped CONUS from California. Retails for $350 USD. This is an off the shelf pant.
  5. Black November has started at Pure Goalie. 25% off clearance items using code BLKNV25. Again, slim pickings on gear. But there is a ton of apparel that qualifies for 25% off.
  6. Goalie Monkey's Black Friday sales begins now. Valid now through Wednesday, November 30, 2022 - take an additional 25% off all clearance items with promotional code BLKFRDY25. Goalie protective is pretty much limited to Warrior. No masks available, just cages.
  7. They're up on Pure Hockey now - https://goalie.purehockey.com/product/warrior-ritual-g6-slide-plate-pair/itm/57806-2/
  8. Version 1.0.0

    37 downloads

Warrior G6 starts on page 52.
  9. Think "Axis 2" and you've pretty much got it.
  10. Slide plate kits at GoalieMonkey.com https://www.goaliemonkey.com/new-items/warrior-goalie-accessories-ritual-g6-slide-plate-kit.html Didn't see those posted on Pure....yet....
  11. Personally, I have not worn Warrior since GT2. Most recent Bauers I have had are Ultrasonic, Hyperlite and Mach. I think Mach slides the worst out of the Bauer pads so far. If you're looking to get Hyperlite or an older set of Ultrasonics, those slid better than the Warriors, at least for me. I put together this pad sizing comparison chart based off catalog/custom gear size charts. The Bauer (BAR) size chart is a little off because their catalog doesn't report actual numbers - but it should be pretty close. As CCM and Warrior pad sizes go up, it gets a little wonky. CCM gives 1" intervals for their pad sizes, while Warrior uses 0.5" intervals. This results in CCM "catching up" and the two brands fitting different at 33" and above. Sizes are pulled from the 2023 CCM catalog, 2022 Warrior Catalog, 2022 Bauer catalog so it should be very current.
  12. Re: the new TuneFit+ - everyone likes it a lot over previous Bauer strapping setups. I personally wish we could move the other flap down a little. IIRC, that side is sewn in. Perhaps in the future Bauer could create connection points down on that side of the pad for users to tweak their setups.
  13. Looks like they might be building the thigh a little different. There's a notch there that isn't present on 12.2 or 20.2
  14. The Warrior catalog indicates that the JR G6 pad does have the removable slide plate, but the catalog also only has one SKU for the standalone slide plate kit, which states it fits Senior and Intermediate leg pads - no mention of JR. It sounds like sourcing it second-hand is the only way.
  15. The only option for "Strapping" on the online Bauer.com customizer that has a Supreme/Vapor option is the TuneFit Connect strapping. I'm 99% sure that is what the check boxes on your sheet correspond to. If you want the TuneFit+ strapping but otherwise a Hyperlite pad, you would have to go with the Mach chassis and select the Stabiliflex knee, Hyperlite flex and Hyperlite boot. That'll be the closest you can get.
  16. Looks great! What's the white spot on the blocker sidewall at the top? Was that a section that Bauer could not print on?
  17. My LHS has a box full of stick end caps where you can just take some. I was imagining/hoping that these would be treated in a similar fashion at a ski shop. But the more that I think about it, I realize how dumb I am.
  18. Here are some pics of a Protechsport Brodeur-mold that passed though my hands about 8 years ago - this mask had the interior finished as well. Ignore the red circle.
  19. Shark attack is right! Proto-V is built off a Vapor, so it doesn't have the Spine and should therefore last longer. Hard to say, though, since it just launched. Personally, I try to steer the elite teens towards the M5 Pro. Cheaper, more durable, and not much heavier. If money isn't an issue for the parents, then the kids can/will/do whatever they want.
  20. I skated for the first time in a couple of weeks - was busy with work - and I think I see what you mean. The strap itself is long, but maybe they don't give us quite enough velcro.
  21. Which QMSS strap do you mean? My (minor) issues are that the knee strap coming out of the knee block seems/feels a little short when strapping below the knee. My boot strap has deteriorated quite a bit. It looks like CCM uses some kind of colored sticker applied to the leather boot strap, but the sticker quickly lost adhesiveness and has come off, leaving parts of the boot strap naked. I haven't touched my Machs since I got these.... despite Mach giving better rebounds (and slide, but I modified them with vinyl so that's not quite an apples-to-apples comparison). I do feel like shots off the pads and blocker kind of "flutter" or wobble away at noticeably reduced velocity. With Bauer, pucks seem to rocket off and maintain the velocity they had coming in, and the trajectory is much more consistent and seldom flutter-y. The 580 catcher has been awesome for me. If Bauer ever offered a 580 at retail/retail custom...
  22. They are now the same. You can verify this by looking at the cage model which is printed on the cage itself. White mask is 960, black mask is NMEOne. Both use the Bauer "GRW SS" cage (certified stainless cage). Same thing holds true for the masks with the cat-eye. Both would use the Bauer "GRW NC SS" cage (non-certified stainless cage).
