  1. I believe that is exactly what is going on. Probably did it as a way to get people to try out the SAM profile. Bauer began rolling out the ProSharp machines and profiling templates around the same time/soon after.
  2. Have not seen it in person yet. I do not believe it changes the palm material - just the sidewall, but I can ask.
  3. So, from what I've been told, changing the backhand changes the sideboard. Essentially, if you select the Mach backhand, you'll get something very close to, if not the same, as the Mach blocker. Leaving it stock gets you a Shadow blocker.
  4. If you select S60 for the catcher, do you have the following option under DCT Padding? It's interesting because this option isn't available on the retail customizer. Not sure if you and I have the same XLS file.
  5. I can't answer the above questions for certain, but the Bauer customizer does have a new green this year, called Victory Green. The PDF makes it ever-so-slightly better than Kelly Green, I don't see it on the customizer. All the other new colors seem to be present (Coyote Red, Desert Sand, Ducks Purple, Retro Tan). However, the first lines here - https://www.texasstars.com/news/detail/texas-stars-unveil-new-logos-and-colors says that the Stars do use Victory Green. So it sounds like that's what you're looking for?
  6. 1 is definitely the best. Toss up between 2 and 3. I think 3 edges out 2. I do think my HL2 slide better than my Mach. But both are the Slider skin so I'm not sure as to why one slides better than the one, but I have a theory related to a possible quality issue.
  7. There was a pic in the Bauer custom options catalog, which is available on Bauer.com.
  8. Spring Cleaning sale at GoalieMonkey.com. Use coupon code SPRING25 for 25% off. Sale ends 3/31/2024. Prices are similar, but not quite as good as the Leap Day sale. Lots of Warrior G6 E+ and CCM Axis 2/A2.9 available.
  9. AFAIK, employee orders open up when the customizer launches, so it isn't open yet. Should be up in a month, I think.
  10. 3 on order, have the HL2 set at home, so yeah, 4. Thinking of getting Axis XF...
  11. This might not be the end, either...
  12. I don't, but I had some questions - yours is one of them - pending with someone from Bauer, hopefully they get back to me soon!
  13. Shadow customizer is up - https://www.bauer.com/pages/mybauer-goalie-gear Customizer booklet is up -https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0606/2758/3214/files/FINAL_MyBauer_Custom_Goal_Gear_2024_ENG_LOW_RES.pdf?v=1710352502 Placed my order a little over two weeks ago - hopefully should get it in early May. EDIT: Interesting to note that the sidewall on the blocker in the customizer is different from what we see of the sidewall in the catalog pictures above.
  14. I'd go with the PPF film, personally, I've been using small bits of it on high wear spots on my HL2 pads (thighrise corners and boot binding area) and it works like a charm - zero wear. The shot blockers look a little chunky. I think they're made of Kydex so they should be pretty lightweight...

    Vaughn SLR 4

    IIRC, V9 was two-piece and V9 XP was one-piece. V10 and V10 XP is one-piece.

    Vaughn SLR 4

Stock is 60, but they offer a 70 degree which is similar to the 580 break. There was a brief period where Vaughn offered a V10 XP catcher and blocker which seems to have become SLR4. Not sure if that's the original plan or if customer/pro feedback on it was so good they decided to use it as SLR4.
  17. Brick Wall Specials at GoalieMonkey.com. No coupon code needed. Prices good until 3/12/2024. Not a lot of options but some deals to be had. CCM Axis Pro Cat-Eye mask, Black, Small only - $429.98 CCM EFlex5 Pro Chest Protector - Black - Numerous sizes, $224.98 True Catalyst 9X SR Goal Stick - $129.98 CCM EF5 Pro SR Goal Stick - $114.98
  18. Customizer should be up April 12, 2024
  19. That's the Pro. Mid-level is called the F9 and the lowest is called F5.
  20. FWIW, I used to skate with some Ducks staff and one of the guys had a Ryan Miller stick. 24.5" is what was printed on the stick and also on the 3rd pic below. So Bobrovsky's might be even shorter (22" or 22.5") than what InGoal says.
  21. Pure Goalie is having a 20% end of season sale. Use code PGCLR20 for 20% off. Basically the same as their President's Day sale. Prices below from last month are still accurate.
